Announcement   I was born in Banff and raised in Canmore, Alberta.. As a stubborn little girl, at the age of 12, I had already told my art teacher that I wasn’t an artist and that she (the teacher) “couldn’t make me draw!” No matter how hard the Art Teacher begged me to express myself, I had already decided in my head what an artist was, and I wasn’t it!
Fast forward 20 some years to 2006. A chance pottery class opened up the creative side of my brain, an lead me on an unexpected, and absolute wild ride through as many mediums as I could get my hands on. Drawing, Painting, Polymer Clay, Stained Glass, Decoupage, Mosaics, Fused Glass etc. etc. etc. My thirst to learn different art forms and techniques was insatiable.
Throughout my life, I have constantly been attracted to patterns, texture and colour. As I have explored my artistic side, these three attributes have been part of all creations that I make. From the minute details in my fimo (polymer clay) work, to the stamped textures on my pottery, and the tiny intricate doodles (zentangles) that I draw, these three features are a constant.
I have always admired maps, staring endlessly at coastlines, studying mountain ranges and drooling over the intricacy of river networks. I have studied the tiny membranes of leaves, been gobsmacked by details of snowflakes and have often seen patterns in nature that others may not notice. All of these, fractal based. I have admired Fractal Art through the years, as just “something others do”. I never even considered that it was something that I could do!
The discovery of a simple fractal design program, and realizing that I too could design fractals, felt like yet another awakening. Once again, My reality was changed, and the vision of my future was instantly different.
I am constantly exploring new and different mediums, and my desire to try whatever I can get my hands on is insatiable. I search for constant inspirations through Pinterest, Instagram, Nature (of course!) and anywhere else I can get it.
I joined Etsy in 2009 when only 15 000 people had etsy shops. Along the way I sold bits and pieces on here, but I also opened my own gallery for 4 years in my town of Powell River, BC. Therefore, I left the Etsy world and focused solely on that. However, I AM BACK!

Custom order and couldn't be happier with end result. Very good quality and very unique. I bought two and if I had room for more, I would have made an additional purchase. Highly recommend!

Throughout my life, I have constantly been attracted to things out of the ordinary, different, or against the grain. In a word: “Funky”! I am always striving to achieve funkiness in anything that I create. After a single Ceramics class in 2006, a creative streak was unleashed that even surprised myself. From that fateful day on, I new that I wanted to spend the rest of my life creating beautiful, inspiring, and don’t forget; funky, pieces of art for others to enjoy.
