Note from shop owner I have made a difficult choice to close my shop for an undisclosed time as my daughter who has been fighting a leg tumor for 3 years , now under goes Chemo. After radiacal surgery and last year radiation I somehow managed to keep my store open. I cannot any longer, I am wreck honestly and need to focus all my attention on my lovely brave littel girl. I am sorry for the inconvience and sorry to buyers who waited so long to answers to mails and shipping delays due to my current situation.

Blessings to all you feel compassion in their hearts after reading this, please a breif moment of kind thoughts for my girl Lizzy are appreciated. With the grace of God we will win this battle.

About

Hard times, disapointments, illness find ETSY best fit

♥ I began my shop in 2006 , I opened a small boutique which was very successful., however during the winter months, the pipes froze, broke and I sustained water damage which the landlord failed to correct. I was forced to move downtown, (A CHARMING location but it did not generate the same income the previous high traffic location did )I reopened two locations, one an art gallery for female recycled artists and the other a vintage clothing boutique.

My concept was simply , since I was struggling raising my two girls (I'm married , not single) but take that job very seriously, cooking , cleaning, running them to dance, friends home, etc I found it nearly impossible to run a full time business. I mistakenly took a partner, whom I thought shared similar morality, such as basic honesty, I solicited other women in the same situation, moms who were artists and wanted a venue for themselves...I tried to form a sort of coop. Everyone was required to work one day a week, at a minimum one day a month, in exchange they could sell what every they wanted for 60 percent profit , I also paid commission on any thing they sold. My tale is sad and disappointing. the women initially were gun hoe , and worked the commitment they gave me, but slowly once their art and other items were for sale, they gave me little to no time, mostly excuses why they could not work. my partner ran off with a man, and left town, giving me no notice. I was working nearly 60 hours a week and my family was suffering as a result greatly. I was physically falling apart. I made the painful decision to close both of my beloved stores. ( I won best of Wausau 2007, my city loved my store too and was very sad to see it go )

And so I came to etsy. the prefect venue for me. I never had to worry about in store theft, staffing my store, I can work when I can. I worked very hard for two full years. I knew nothing about the internet , Facebook, blogging, I struggled. Now it has served me .

However, two years ago, my little girl (11 yrs old) was diagnosed with a leg tumor. I have been caring for her for the past two years, Surgery, radiation, we lived in the Ronald Mc Donald House for 4 months in Milwaukee. Since this has happened, I have been unable to list new items, or create art for that matter. However my store is still here. I had to close 2 other on line stores as it was too much to keep up. Make no mistake, on line selling IS HARD WORK, and you must be determined and very diligent to succeed. Praise God for the blessing he has given me, for I needed to close my retail stores , it was in preparation for my daughters illness. Her last MRI her tumor is in remission and I am hopeful that I can resume re-listing and creating my art . I am thankful to etsy and its patrons for the understanding they have shown me during the last two years of this difficult time. ♥

I have been selling vintage for nearly 5 years now, I owned and operated a vintage clothing Boutique and recycled art gallery in Wausau Wisconsin which I later closed to pursue an on line venue.
VINTAGE
I am striving to offer a WIDE variety of quality vintage at affordable prices. I research the value of my garments via google and ebay. My prices are below what they are currently selling for. I have a very large un-posted section of inventory in storage.
RECYCLED ART

Additional policies and FAQs
♥About your gown♥
This is a gown from a collection that I have held on to for years, purchased from a boutique called THE VOGUE , which went out of business in the late 80's. Most of the gowns have their tags still on, ranging in price $179.00 and up!. Most are either made in India or in USA and are very very high quality, most are fully, lined have breast cups sewn in, and other marks of a well made dress.

I have graded them grade A if I see no obvious issue when the dress is on, Grade B denotes something and I will point it out, but in my option is repairable .

As I have been holding on to these for so long, a few may have some small issues, however if I choose to post them I do not feel that they infer with the over all appearance and can be overlooked, given the price. If for some reason I have missed something and it is unacceptable to you I will take it back as a return. Write me as soon as you get your dress. Send me a photo of the issue , you can return it or maybe I can give you a discount which will make it easier to live with .

Remember these can be altered! But if it really does not fit I will take a return (less shipping) but only within 3 days. I do have some of theses dresses in other sizes and will try to list them.
♥1980s PROM STYLE♥
Enjoy them, they are truly unique! STUNNING and have detailing and style seldom seen today !
The style of 80's loved to show off the back, slits up the sides , short front and long backs and very unusual halter style details as well. Fabrics such as lush velvets, glitters (my favorites) shimmer taffeta were all favored.

♥MEASUREMENTS
Please remember that the measurements given are of the garment - NOT the body inside. You should allow up to two inches of breathing room depending of the cut of the item.

Shoulder to Shoulder is taken across the back of the garment from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.

Bust is measured from under the arm to under the arm and doubled.

Waist is measured across the narrowest point, and doubled.

Hips is taken at the widest point or about 6 inches below the waist depending on the garment, and doubled.

Shoulder to hem is measured from the top of the arm hole to the bottom of the hem.

Sleeve Length is taken from the top of the shoulder seam to the cuff.

My grading of the vintage Items Condition:

All vintage items have a history and have been previously worn. Please do not expect a new item.

GRADE A: No marks, holes, rips or stains.

GRADE B: Slight flaws that will not be noticeable when worn - for example, minor runs, faded linings,ETC

GRADE C: flaws that are easily fixed, such as a missing button, or things that have faded *slightly* due to wear

Fair: needs help with a major repair such as burst seams, or a large mark.

Fixer upper: Good for a pattern, display or for the fabric.

CLEANING
garments have NOT been cleaned, this is in an attempt to keep the costs of the vintage item down. These are vintage items , many are over 50 years old and have been worn. I recommend cleaning after arrival of your garment.

Smell and allergies
My invenorty is sotred out of my home, in a smoke free environment. However as items are not cleaned prior to shipping if you are allergic It is recommended that you have the item cleaned to prevent any difficulties with allergies.

Most vintage clothes that have not been laundered have their own unique smell. I use a combination of mothball, lavender and cedar in my storage to repeal moths and other unsavory critters from a feast! I know many people think yuck moth balls, but they are effective for wool. I offset the unpleasant order with natural essential oils.
