About funkyprettybeads
Color. Shape. Simplicity.
Beads. They are colorful, touchable, sensual and tactile little sculptures unto themselves. They come from all over the world. They reach out and want to be touched, drawing you in somewhat unexpectedly.
I started my bead shop on Etsy after designing and manufacturing jewelry for many years. Now instead of designing jewelry I enjoy taking beautiful images of my beads and sending them on to happy customers.
I love being here on Etsy selling you beads. I have realized that my job is making people happy. How cool is that? I have SO much fun putting together your orders.

I live in Portland Maine where it is beautiful all year round. I love color. Designing with color just makes my adrenaline rush. So much fun. I have a BFA and an MA in Art Therapy. I love to dance. I love to move.

You will find a large variety of glass beads from the Czech Republic. And of course gemstones from all over the world. Beads are SO fascinating. Lovely to look at. Lovely to touch and so much fun to be creative with.

Please include your name as it appears on your address and the invoice number.
I charge a 10% restocking fee for returns of 3 items or more.
I will take returns up to two weeks after shipping for domestic orders. International order need to be shipped back within one week of receiving goods.
All Beads & Findings must be accounted for and should be in the ORIGINAL CONDITION. Items must be securely padded and packed tightly as you received it. Loose beads tend to beak more easily.
SHIPPING and HANDLING CHARGES are Non-Refundable unless these was a problem with the the listing. Thank you for understanding. I reimburse for USPS first class only.

Shipping
Shipping fees for most items are as follows:
Domestic (United States) $3 first item .20 each additional item
To Canada $11.35 first item .40 each additional item
Everywhere Else $13.75 first item .75 each additional item
- If your tracking say delivered and you have not seen your pack, before contacting me PLEASE contact your local PO and give them your tracking number. They most often have it waiting for you.
- Custom duties and/or taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
- All orders are shipped via U.S. Postal Service (First Class Package or Priority Mail Service)
- You will receive tracking/confirmation # in your email once your package is shipped. Please check your junk mail folder if you could not find it in your inbox folder.
- Shipping upgrades are available on request.
- I purchase insurance for all orders so you are guaranteed to get your beads. (Sometimes this costs more than you have paid ) I try very hard to keep your shipping fees as low as possible)

Is the Sea Glass really from the ocean?
No. We call it "cultured" sea glass because it is made by humans. It is simply frosted or tumbled glass made to look like sea glass but you would never find anything like this at the beach. Some of my frosted glass beads are made from recycled glass. That's always a good thing.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING PRICING- PLEASE READ
The shipping rate, including insurance) is approximately $14 to most destinations up to 8oz Above 8oz the price jumps up $10 but.... that is the same price up to 2lbs! So if you purchase 9 oz it is not a good deal because you could pay the same amount of shipping all the way up to 2lb.
I will let you know if your order is slightly over 8oz so that if you want, you can remove an item or two to bring the shipping price down..... or add to your order to take advantage of the shipping fee up to 2lb. Please also not that the shipping fee that you see is an estimate. It cold cost more... or less. I will need to send a link for extra payment if needed or I will refund if it goes over.
Is that shipping price accurate?
The price for the first item is reflective of the price that you will pay for just one item. However if you have a lot of items, there is a small shipping fee added on for each item and that can add up to way more than the actual price. In this case I always refund your money when I process your order.
Are The Listed Sizes exact?
Most sizing is correct but sometimes there are small differences. It is odd but I get beads that are called for instance 4x6mm by the manufacturer but each manufacturer's sizes are actually slightly different but not so much that I list it as different size. I generally list sizes in whole numbers.
Are the inventory numbers Correct? Do I have more???
If you notice that you would like more bead than are currently listed in those dropdown menus, please DO ask. Unfortunately Etsy does not account for my tiered pricing structure. It's complicated but this inventory program takes 1 out of stock wether you order 2 beads or 100 beads. That means that I very likely have more than is listed. On the other hand I may not have multiple amounts on hand of the larger quantities.
So... it's impossible to keep these inventory numbers correct. And yes... it drives me crazy but I really like offering larger discounted quantities.

My tracking says delivered but I don't have it!!!
This happens on occasion. Before you contact me please call your local USPS carrier and give them your tracking number. Most often they will have your package. I have no more information about where your package is than you do by viewing tracking. If you still have not received your package please contact me. Thank you.
