About

Growing and learning

I started out making jewelry for fun and friends about 4 years ago. Friends, perhaps out a desire to receive yet another pair of earrings for as a gift, suggested that I try selling what I made. So I came up with the name Funky Tulip, just for fun, started an esty page and started going to craft shows.

Two years ago, I took a lampworking class, and fell in love with glass. I had bought a kiln to annel my beads, and thought that it would be fun to try to fusing. I taught myself, and have pendants and dishes to show for it.

During the day, I'm a practicing lawyer. Glass is my creative outlet. My hope for my etsy page is that others will enjoy I've made.

Welcome to the Funky Tulip!

I love glass! The feel of it, the colors, the mystery!

I'd already been making jewelry, when I found lampworking. Then I found fusing. So many great ways to play with glass. I use my own beads and fused pieces in my jewelry (I make most of my own findings, too), and make fused glass plates and other dishes. I hope you find something here that intrigues you.

Whatever I make is generally only make one of a kind, but if I've already sold something you were interested in, let me know, and I can make you something similar.

I do sell through other venues, and it is possible (though unlikely) that the item you're interested has sold and I haven't had time to remove it from Etsy. If so, I sincerely apologize, will do my best to make you something similar (but still one of a kind!)

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I happily accept PayPal and credit cards.
Shipping
I ship by first class mail, unless you want it sooner. If so, convo me and I'll let you know the shipping cost. I do not insure items, unless you want me to, in which case I'll let you know the cost.
Refunds and Exchanges
I've done my best to present my glass as it is, but it's really hard to photograph glass! If you're not pleased with your purchase, contact me and we'll work something out.
