Finding The Light

My work focuses on nature as it is constantly changing. As a former landscape painter I allow the scene to inform in an artistic way and try to see beyond the obvious. A tree in the Winter looks completely different in the Spring. I often find myself traveling back to the same places from season to season to see what has changed. Capturing the light in my images is so important. From the cool light of Winter to the warm, sun drenched light in Summer, it all changes the feel and colors of a photo.

I take a camera with me everywhere I go because you never know when you will see the most amazing thing ever.

While out shooting, I am searching for images that make the viewer feel like they are looking at a moment in time. Maybe a different place. Possibly a remembered place. A glance.
