Announcement   Plant dyed and printed fashion using all natural dyes and fibers by my hand in my studio. I take a great deal of pride in creating each item listed in my etsy shop personally. No team of artists, employees, or imported goods. Just me, beautiful plants and natural fibers.

Each garment takes up to one month to create. Natural dyeing silk is a slow process, but the colors are soft, natural and healthy next to your skin. This makes the slow cloth process so worthwhile.

Enjoy browsing my shop and please contact me with any questions.

I will occasionally offer jewelry selections, but my focus is primarily on natural ecoprinted items.

About

Julie Pishny Designs Sustainable Fashion

The love of nature has led me to natural dye and sustainable fashion. My etsy shop is a great venue to sell my handmade one of a kind garments. I am a one woman studio and enjoy creating fashionable and ethical scarves, shawls, garments and home accessories. I believe in the buying handmade and am an avid shopper of etsy sellers and their exceptional quality creations.

Why buy from an indie studio? I think Mahatma Ghandi said it best when he said that, "There is no beauty in the finest cloth if it makes hunger & unhappiness". Do you know who made your clothing? Buying from independent makers and designers solves that question and creates a sense of pride when worn or gifted.

Each of my dyed garments requires that I gather by my hand plants to create the color of dye and print of the leaf. I then process the plants into the dye and each item can take a minimum of one week and up to one month to create. It's called slow cloth for that reason, but the results are so worth the effort.

Thank you for reading my bio, browsing my etsy shop and hopefully you will purchase one of my creations or tell your friends and family that you saw me here. You can also visit my website www.juliepishny.com for more information about me and my work.

Warmest Regards - Julie
