It was great and beautiful! However, it was lost so I guess I'll have to get another one now... :/

Remarkably fast delivery! The medal is truly beautiful, even more so than I expected. I attached it to a rosary chaplet and it will be one of my treasured possessions. Excellent and reliable seller!

Gardens of Grace first opened its virtual online doors back in 2004. It was begun as a way for me to offer my Catholic jewelry, chaplet and rosary designs to a wider audience. Over the years, the shop evolved into a provider of the rosary parts to allow others to make their own spiritual art, and it grew far bigger than I ever thought possible.

After over a year of praying and discerning how to continue Gardens of Grace in light of the fact that my 6 kids were growing up fast and our little farm needed more and more of me, I came to the difficult decision to downsize to a small (very small) Etsy shop.

In this little shop I will carry the few things I have had custom cast as well as the occasional vintage piece from my own collection. Who knows, I may even include something I make myself, now and then.

PLEASE, do not ask me if I can get for you something that used to be in the old shop. I cannot spend all of my business-time (as there is precious little of it) making one custom order after another. Know that I will update the shop when I can and I am taking my time with family very seriously.

BEFORE sending me a question, PLEASE check "Additional Policies and FAQs" below. I have answered MANY of my most common questions there and it just might save us both some time. :)

God Bless,

Refunds and Exchanges
We want you to be happy with your items If you are not satisfied, we will gladly refund the purchase price (excluding shipping) within 10 days of purchase or delivery confirmation after the item is returned to us in its original condition.

*** PLEASE NOTE: We will not give refunds for metal items returned to us after being treated with polishes and /or chemical wipes or dips! These products remove the hand applied, non-toxic patina of the pieces, and make them very difficult (and sometimes impossible) to restore. If you have drastically altered the appearance of your medal, cross, center etc, it will not be eligible for a refund or exchange.
Additional policies and FAQs
Do you wholesale or offer bulk discounts?
No we do not. Quality metal prices are quite high these days, and our little business has not been able to produce and/or source inventory with low enough cost to allow us to wholesale items. We do, however, occasionally offer discount codes to newsletter subscribers.

Do you sell beads?
No, we do not. There are so many wonderful bead shops out there, that we thought it was best to focus on the slightly harder to find items.

Where can I find the solid bronze wire that you use in your pieces?
My very favorite place to get beautiful bronze wire is the Boutique section of Anne Meinssen's web site. The wire that I actually use the most now, is her round fumed red brass.

How do I polish my bronze items?

All of our crucifixes, crosses, centers, medals & findings are hand cast in the United States in solid bronze and/or sterling silver. An antiquing finish has been applied (again, by hand) and it is inevitable that the the "look" of the pieces will vary slightly. In other words, the bronze or sterling piece you receive may not look exactly like the one in the photo on this web site.
Care & Cleaning

Both sterling and bronze will naturally oxidize (darken) over time and exposure to air. Some of us do not mind this and think it simply adds to the antique feel of the finished piece. But for those of us that would like a bit more shine, there are a few options for polishing these metal pieces.

The first is to use an old toothbrush and a dab of toothpaste. Be warned, this is the most drastic and will take off most of the finish. The second is to use a regular silver polishing cloth. This (if used lightly) will shine quite nicely (both bronze & sterling). The last is the method I personally use the most and really just buffs the piece without much danger of over polishing. I simply take the medal and rub it vigorously and firmly back and forth over a slightly textured piece of fabric such as denim.
