Day of the Doodles - Genius or Evil Genius?

When a lifelong illustrator, historian and dungeon master marries a crafting mad scientist and signmaker, you get Day of the Doodles. A converted closet becomes a design studio, and suddenly every bit of bare wall space is used to hang wet screen prints. There is a method to the madness for sure, but it’s more art than science.

Morgan and Erin Carmichael are a husband and wife team that enjoys making silly things, then selling those things to silly people both online and at various comic and fantasy conventions and local markets. They live in western NC with two wild cats and make all of their doodles, paintings, screen prints, stickers and signs by hand, one at a time, in their small closet workshop.

In late 2013 DotD went green, and no longer uses solvent-based inks or paints. With this change and a few others, DotD can recycle 95% of any workshop waste produced.

Their interests include being loud, being up late, comic books, general profanity, ramen, bad blues riffs sung at the cats, and river crawling.

Returns and exchanges
If your order is damaged in transit, we'll get you taken care of as best we can by way of replacement. If that is the case, just send a photo or two of the damage for my records and we'll go from there.
DOTD asks that if you ever do receive a replacement metal sign for one that has been damaged in transit, that you'll consider recycling the damaged sign, as it is 100% aluminum and easily recyclable.
We are more than happy to combine shipping for multiple items. Etsy will combine two items shipping easily enough, but if you're eyeing more than 3 items please let me know for a possible flat rate shipping cost.
Day of the Doodles accepts Paypal, Etsy gift cards and all major credit/debit cards.
a. All orders of 13oz or more will be shipped via USPS Priority mail WITH DELIVERY CONFIRMATION. When shipped, you will receive tracking notification via Etsy mail. All orders weighing less than 13oz (stickers, magnets, hoops, etc) will ship First Class mail, also with delivery confirmation.

b. All signs are carefully wrapped in brown paper then shipped in a flat cardboard box without a packing slip or receipt. Many of our items are sent as gifts, and we don't want to ruin the magic for the recipient. If you would like your receipt included in your package, just let us know.
Additional policies and FAQs
We like what we do here. It's fun, and fun people often ask us to make fun things. We're not prudes, but we won't make you a sign or doodle with hate speech. If you wonder if your idea qualifies as hate speech, please feel free to ask us any time via Etsy convo or email.
