About

A love of creativity

I have always been a crafter, I have more hobbies than I can count, sewing, knitting, baking, drawing, designing web pages, anything remotely creative, if i come across something new I will turn my hand to it with fair ease and a little practice.

I have also always loved stationery, as a child it was erasers, in all shapes and sizes, me and my friends at little school would carry them around in huge ziplock book bags and swap them with each other at morning break. I even attempted the fabled 'save your shavings and melt them into one big eraser' once, with adult supervision of course.

After the erasers came the pens, all of the pens, gel pens, scented especially were a favourite, the fountain pen was a prized possession awarded by my Dad for achievement, as well as collections of felt tips (always wanted a tin of those in rainbow colours, finally got one aged 27! I blame Jacqueline Wilson) pencil crayons and even a very large collection of wax crayons were still used well into my teens.

With pens of course came notebooks, sketchbooks, any kind of books that I could write or draw in. and as I got older the medium to write or sketch in them got fancier, and then came the ultimate, the diary. It started with the FunFax, then the school journal, then the Filofax, then the fancier Filofax, the life planner, then I discovered washi tape, and then finally, stickers.

And that, as they say, is where we begin.
