Beautiful, feminine bowl. Makes eating veggies even more of a pleasure!

Wonderful, delicate porcelain form and great drippy glaze! Lovely color combo. I love it! It is just the right size and fits the hand well. And the little extra is a nice touch! Thank you Caitlin! ❤️

Katelyn’s art and craft are beautiful and amazing. Plus, she is great at communicating and takes just as much care in delivery of her art as I’m sure she does in making it. This bowl and its two companions are my favorites to use and display. I couldn’t be happier about them.
About
One of my mom's favorite ways to get me to settle down as a child was to engage in arts and crafts together. She taught me how to hold a crayon, my grandfather taught me how to color in the lines, and my dad did his best to remind me that life and art should be a reflection of an individual - no matter how messy.
After spending most of my grade school education avoiding school work by doodling, I applied to and was accepted into a Fine Arts college under the assumption that the painting or illustration department would be my wheelhouse. I hated working with clay, I genuinely enjoyed cleaning the art room sink more in highschool - but the caliber of work coming out of the ceramics department was more engaging and visually interesting than the work of any other department on campus so I jumped into a world of mud. It wasn't serendipity, just foolhardy flying by the seat of my pants.

I'm a slipcaster by trade and I work from prototypes I first throw on the wheel and then take a mold of. By limiting myself to a series of forms I have more headspace to explore the interaction of form, surface treatment, and function.
I currently work with a glaze pairing that satisfies my desire for the work to evolve on it's own without being an exact representation of my mark making.
My claybody is a porcelain fired to cone 6 in oxidation.
