5 out of 5 starsSuch a pretty pair of earrings. They are lightweight and well made. I really like them. The shipment was fast, especially for international shipping. I am pleased with my purchase and would do business with this shop again.

Shhh, I'm busy making something
First let me tell you how excited I was to have one of my wire wrap rings featured in an edition of UK VOGUE magazine. Yes indeed!
I started creating wire wrap jewelry after I broke my back falling off my daft horse, Sid, in 2009. I was out of action for only a few months. As soon as I could go back to salsa dancing I knew my body had recovered. Back then I was a ceramicist but because of my injury I needed to create small scale lightweight items. I had to make stuff. It's in my blood. And so Gimme That Thing was born.
I've since gone back to ceramics for fun. I have a kiln and love browsing the gorgeous glazes online. I also spin and dye yarn on my rustically charming spinning wheel, using such weird things as onion skins, privet leaves and herbs to dye with as well as Kool Aid for sharper colour. Any opportunity to go to a local crafting workshop and I'm there! I'm about to learn how to make stained glass items and try my hand at mosaics.
I've made things and sold them since I was 13 and still at school. Nearly every pupil was seen wearing the beaded suede hair ties or the Disney character hand-painted wooden brooches that I'd made.
I opened my Etsy shop in late 2010 and things began to take off, I mean globally, with customers from around the world. Nowadays my work space is a huge antique school master's desk which I bought for a song. This is where I create my jewelry, do the paperwork, drink lots of tea and gaze out of the window at my lush green garden, at the frogs, green parakeets and hedgehogs that inhabit the space.
Fun fact - I'm also a mindful movement dance and relaxation facilitator and teach in Manchester every week. I'm also a trainee yoga teacher.
