That's what people always tell me. "You have your hands full." I sure do, but I love it! I am a full time stay at home Mom to 8 children and wife to a wonderful husband and we are nonstop busy and life is never boring around here. I have always been an entrepreneur and have way too many ideas and not enough time to do everything I want to. My first Etsy shop was Happy Homestead in 2008 where I used to make and sew headbands and hair accessories for women and I really enjoyed it but didn't have the time to sew much anymore as we had more kids. I've always loved cooking and making things from scratch and at the time we had a little homestead out in the country with a garden and I would can too, hence the name "Happy Homestead". I ended up learning how to make my own soap and cleaning products and loved it and hence a new business idea. So, I started my 2nd Etsy shop Ginger Grey Soaps in 2013 selling homemade bar soaps and that became my main shop. I still sell patterns though on Happy Homestead but now a a lot of my free time is spent on creating new label designs, colors, and scents for my soap favors. I really enjoy the design process and that may be my next Etsy shop creating invitations and announcements, so stay tuned. It may have to wait until the kids are a bit older though. Like I said, I have my hands full. Ginger Grey Soaps is my creative outlet and how I spend my time while my kids are at school and free time on the evenings and weekends when I can.
