    About

Glassy goodness with a sense of Fun!

I suppose it all started when I walked into a local bookshop, picked up a book about glass beads and BLAMMO... the glassy bug bit me.

A bit of research, a chance meeting with a glass supplier, and I was on my way. I initially took a beginner lampwork course in 2006. Since then, I have managed to combine my love of cartooning, drawing and all things silly to be the inspiration for my hand made lampwork beads.

I love glass, I love vintage, I love vintage glasses! My beads come from a place where I amuse the heck out of myself. I love a good pun and I love a challenge. I take my creations very seriously, and will not list anything I wouldn't buy myself.

    Now the nitty gritty -
I hand make and anneal every bead in my store. I also check each item that I list before I list and I will not list any item I wouldn't buy myself.

Feel free to browse my shop, read my policies and convo me if you have any questions... I am quite approachable really!

    Accepted payment methods

Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
    • Other Method
    Payment
For Australian Buyers, I accept payment by Australia Post Money Order, direct deposit and paypal. For international buyers, unfortunately I can only accept paypal - sorry 'bout that!

I am more than happy to arrange layby/ layaway plans on single items over $100AUD or order totals of over $100AUD. A 20% deposit is required and payment MUST be completed within 30 days or layby is cancelled and deposit is non-refundable.
    Shipping
Once your payment is received, I will convo you to tell you when your item will be posted. That will either be the day your payment is received (Australian time) or the next business day.

Registered post is available for Australian parcels, as is insurance. If you require this method please convo me for details. Orders over $100 will be sent registered post.

Insurance for parcels outside Australia is available, please convo me for a quote.

Whilst all care and consideration is given to packaging and posting, once the package has left my studio, any loss or damage is out of my control and no responsibility is accepted for this. This is also part of the reason I recommend registration of parcel/ insurance.
    Additional policies and FAQs
I gladly accept custom orders, so never let it be said I don't like a challenge. There are a few points, however. If your custom order is accepted, I generally make up to 3 practice beads, to make sure I get it right. I will then let you know if it is possible and also a price for your custom made item. Please be aware that custom orders will be a little more expensive than the stock I have in my shop, as (after all) they are special request items. There is also a 2 week turn around time for custom orders, as I have to have enough items to warrant running my kiln.

Anything with initials or names on them will have a requirement of a 20% deposit before work is commenced. Sorry folks, but I had to put this in place after a number of non-payers :)
