About

Girl With A Sword Productions - handspun yarns with sass! Local fibers, glorious textures.

My name is Maggie, and I run a herb shop (prairielandherbs.com) full-time. I co-own this shop with my mom; we have 2 acres of land in central Iowa, and grow lots of herbs, flowers, and weeds!! :) I love herbs, and I recently have developed a love for natural dyeing and fiber arts. Living in a small, farming community, I have close access and relationships with my neighbors, many of whom have small farms. I use a variety of locally grown and wildcrafted herbs, plants, and flowers for my dyeing, as well as "found" rusty objects from my farm. I also dye with synthetic dyes, I love dyeing of all types! I enjoy working with small, family-owned fiber farms too!

I've run my herb business full-time for over 17 years. It's primarily a retail, internet-based business, so I have experience in shipping items worldwide, on a regular basis. I'm at the post office nearly every day, so your item will be shipped quickly and securely. Customer service is also very important to me - I want you to love what you have purchased from me!

I do wholesale some of my items, so if you have a store or shop, please don't hesitate to contact me about purchasing items in bulk.
