About GiselesGallery

Sales 832
On Etsy since 2010
Video summary: My working space, some of my ACEOs and miniature paintings and a scene of some of my miniature paintings as if in a museum room are displayed. A timelapse of the making-of of one of my miniature landscape paintings is also shown.

Setting the world on colors.

A good day for me is the one I begin and end a painting. I love to start my days with a brand new Arches paper to put some colors on, and I also love to get my work done before daylight fades and to have something to show my family by dinner time.

In a sense I live the life I always wanted, striving to create beauty in a world that needs it so much. Striving, yes: don't get me started on all the effort it takes to be a landscape watercolor painter in Brazil! I wouldn't have it any other way, though. Seeing all the beautiful colors mix with water and stain the paper, creating shapes as if the water were alive, never reapeating itself, revealing places that until them existed only in my mind... it really wins my heart as it did on that first day, decades ago, when I first put brush to paper.

On a great day I also sell something and I can dream about the faraway place my watercolor or ACEO will call home from that day on. Those do make for the days when the uncertainties of being an artist haunt me. Then I recall that art and beauty is my God-sent mission in life, and the colors seem to brighten once again.

As many other artists, I started painting as soon as I could handle a brush :-) I got my graphic design degree and then decided to pursue my watercolorist career for good... I simply love to feel the wet colors mixing through the paper.

Thank you for considering buying, therefore supporting, original fine art!

If after browsing around you feel like buying something from me (yay!) you may be interested in reading the fine print below.

NOTE: please see the Announcement section for seasonal and promotional news, as well as warnings about shipping delays.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
I don't accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
Returns and exchange details
I do my best to ensure my work will reach you in the very best shape. I protect them individually in archival, crystal clear plastic sleeves and package the paintings in a bubble envelope backed by sturdy paperboard, again wrapped in plastic to protect it from humidity. I take the envelope to the post office myself. Please contact me immediatelly in case if it seems that anything nasty happened to your order after leaving my hands.

Please note that colors viewed on screen may not match exactly those on paper, although I try my very best to take the most accurate photographs of my artwork.
Payment
Currently I accept Paypal only. Please submit your payment within 3 days of ordering. Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.

Customs and import taxes: Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.
Shipping
Processing time: Shipping usually occurs within 24 hours of payment, unless it’s a holiday in Brazil or on weekends.

The shipping price reflects the actual cost of shipping. No shipping costs are hidden into my item prices.

I ship by Priority mail with insurance. Currently, the Brazilian Post Office isn't providing international tracking at reasonable prices for Priority mail (Etsy's Standard Shipping), so the tracking number used will only work until the package leaves Brazil. Sending by Priority registered mail will require a signature on delivery. If that's a problem, please let me know and I'll send it without registration, but it won't have any tracking number.

If for some reason international tracking is required, please select the pricier "EMS - international tracking" shipping upgrade option that will be presented to you in your shopping cart. If the actual EMS shipping cost is lower than the shipping amount paid I'll send a refund of the difference to the buyer's PayPal account.

Estimated shipping times: It usually takes around 15 days for a package to arrive but it might take longer due to unforeseen delays by the Brazilian Post Office or the Brazilian Customs. Selecting the "EMS - International tracking" shipping upgrade should shorten the delivery time.

I'll ship to your Etsy account's address (please keep it up to date). If I need to re-send a package the shipping costs will be incurred by the buyer.
Additional policies and FAQs
A watercolor you wanted seems to have vanished? I may well have it with me. Send a convo!

Please note that I don't put listings on hold.

I will only use your shipping and billing address, and contact information to communicate with you about your order, to fulfill your order, and for legal reasons (like paying taxes).

If you're concerned about it, my home and studio are smoke-free areas.

Feel free to contact me in case you have any doubt that was not solved by reading these policies.

I wrote a post about my favorite DIY way to frame ACEOs, you can check it out here:
