**Note: Due to 'security reasons,' my husband and I are now forced to share a PayPal account for our joint checking. A different name than mine may display on your PayPal statement; always trust payments to or from glamourandearth [at] gmail [dot] com . (You may also contact me there!)

Custom Order Policy
-----------------------------------

I do gladly accept custom orders for beaded, wired, or chainmaille jewelry. If you like my work and would like to commission a piece of jewelry, please contact me at glamourandearth [at] gmail [dot] com. If you would like a chainmaille piece but are not certain what different weaves and materials are available, please contact me for a consultation.

Commissions should be requested with a minimum six-week time frame. This may seem excessive if you are only looking for a simple necklace or pair of earrings, but more than likely, I will have to order special materials which will need some time to arrive. Payments will also need time to clear before I can order materials. I will work as quickly as I can to get your pieces out as soon as I can, but a six-week minimum cushion provides time in case of shipping delays and other events. Additionally, if you are ordering many pieces or more complicated pieces, such as bridal pieces, gifts, handmade chain, etc, you may need to allow longer than six weeks. I am currently enrolled at university; school is my top priority. Exams and school projects may delay my ability to make your piece, so order well in advance for very time-consuming projects or projects with a definite deadline. If you fail to order your pieces within the appropriate timeline for the work that needs to be done, I am not responsible for lost deposits on materials.

To see my school calendar, you can visit http://www.osu.edu . You can get a general idea of when midterms and final exams will be held, if you need to use that for order timing.

A non-refundable deposit will be required for the full cost of materials. I accept cashier's checks, money orders, and PayPal payments.

Returns and exchanges
Return Policy

If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it in good condition for a full refund, including the $5 for shipping, within 30 days of the ship date. If for some reason shipping is seriously delayed, you may contact me for an extension. Otherwise, items can only be returned for repairs or exchanges after the 30 days. Items cannot be returned for exchanges after 60 days.

Buyer pays for shipping on all returns and must use delivery confirmation and insurance for the full amount paid. If the buyer fails to use insurance, the seller (myself) is not responsible if the item is lost in transit and no refund will be issued.

Refunds are processed upon receipt of returned merchandise. In the case that a returned piece arrives damaged without the buyer notifying me of the damage prior to the return, the refund amount will be determined by the amount of damage, the cost to replace or repair the piece, and the insurance claim from the shipping. To avoid having damaged pieces in transit, please pack carefully!

Returns received without approval outside of the 30 day time-frame may be sent back at cost to the buyer or used toward an exchange if it is within 60 days, but no return will be processed. (If you are on the cusp, please contact me to let me know that it is coming--then send it promptly.)

Repairs

If your jewelry receives minor damage during shipping, you may return it for a free repair. I do urge you, however, first to try to find someone in your area who can repair it if you plan to keep the piece; you may be able to have it done faster and save yourself the time shipping. Bead stores are a great place to go; they will usually help you for free, or for the cost of materials. Buyer will pay shipping on all returns and must use delivery confirmation and insurance. Seller will pay shipping when returning the repaired item to the buyer.

I pledge to protect your jewelry as much as humanly possible; any buyer receiving seriously damaged pieces should contact USPS with their damage claim. (This is the reason I require insurance.) The buyer may then contact me if a replacement item is needed or wanted.

If you have jewelry which has been damaged for other reasons than shipping (such as getting snagged, pulled on, etc), you may return pieces to me for free repairs if they were purchased from this shop. Please contact me before returning pieces so that I know to expect them. I will also do minor repairs for any jewelry if I have the tools to do so; please send me a convo with a description of the damage and to receive a price quote. Buyer will pay for shipping for damaged jewelry, and I will pay for return shipping. Please make sure to use insurance and tracking when sending back your jewelry.
Payment
**Note: I do not accept personal checks, only cashier's checks.

All orders must be paid for within 3 days (if sending a cashier's check or money order, please contact me that you have sent it within three days); if I do not receive payment by then, the transaction will be canceled and the item relisted. All currency is USD. To avoid getting negative feedback for non-payment, please contact me.
Shipping
All jewelry is shipped USPS. All packages will feature delivery confirmation and insurance. Seller (me) is not responsible for packages shipped to non-confirmed addresses in PayPal, so make sure I have the correct address!

Care of Jewelry
-------------------

To keep your jewelry looking great, you must take special care of it. Necklaces and bracelets should be laid flat, rather than tangled or hung, as hanging might stretch them out.

Sterling silver can be kept in plastic baggies to minimize oxidation; if your silver needs to be polished, use a silver polishing cloth, such as a Sunshine polishing cloth (available at FireMountainGems and other jewelry supply places). If you use silver polish, please take care that you don't damage other beads in the piece. NEVER store pieces with pearls in plastic bags. Do not use harsh chemicals for cleaning metal in pieces which also have gemstones, as that can damage the gemstones. Natural soap or a paste of baking soda and water can also be used to make your silver shine.

Earrings can be hung with mates to ensure that you can always find them and that they don't get damaged.

Take care not to wear jewelry when you are engaged in something extremely active (like top-to-bottom house-cleaning or playing with the kids), messy (art projects, cooking) or wet (washing dishes, showering, swimming). Even good quality jewelry can be damaged.
