When the lilacs first start to bloom in my backyard I’m reminded of how much I love lilacs and how much they remind me of my grandma Sarah. She passed away when I was only 15, but she always had a huge lilac bush outside her front door.
Outdoor candle lanterns are a wonderful way of lighting up your patio, deck or garden area. Just add a citronella candle and because they are tall the wind will not blow them out. I created them in turquoise, purple and yellow. Which one do you like?
Have I told you that all the pieces that are seen here and in my Etsy Shop are created in a small studio in Toronto? Every object is a One of A Kind. They bring happiness to your home. They are both decorative and functional. To be enjoyed every dayblush

About GlassbyMarcela

On Etsy since 2010

“Each time a piece leaves my studio I feel a little bit of my soul is going with it”.

As an award-winning glass artist with a love of the ocean and a strong Jewish faith these are the main sources of inspiration for each other pieces available for sale.

Art glass was the key that opened the doors for me and my family into beautiful Prince Edward Island from Buenos Aires, Argentina, 17 years ago. It allowed me to start a new journey. Even though I have just relocated to Toronto, Ontario, the ocean colours and designs are still standing strong on the East coast where my brand was created.

Beauty, simplicity, elegance and functionality are essential components in my designs. At my studio, I'm always looking for that special blend of colour and texture that leads me to each piece of art I carefully design. I treat glass as if it were a human being, by respecting it and not pushing it. This allows my to understand its flow, displacement, behaviour, and action up to its most intricate inner part… Its core. That is why I always say: “Each time a piece leaves my studio I feel a little bit of my soul is going with it”.
