Announcement   Welcome to my glass shop! If you're looking for a nightlight, you've come to the right shop. I make both stained glass & fused glass nightlights.

In my shop, you'll find nightlights that are ALREADY MADE & ready to ship.
AND.... nightlights that are available by CUSTOM ORDER, which take me
6 to 8 WEEKS to make since I work alone in my Michigan workshop.

I am rearranging my nightlight listings to use a new Etsy feature for shops. Items with different prices can now be in the same listing. So, I am grouping my nightlights into "category" listings; such as: Farm Animals, Dinosaurs, Apples, etc. So, the "Farm Animals" listing includes my cow nightlight, my goose nightlight, my lamb nightlight & my pig nightlight. I hope you don't find this confusing or slow.

I use standard & customary stained glass methods in techniques, which include lead came & 60/40 solder which includes lead. I can make your nightlight without hobby lead & with lead-free solder - just ask. Please note: Not all of the nightlights that use lead came are strong enough without it. The MSDS safety sheet for the lead came used in stained glass states that you should wash your hands after touching it. I polish all my stained glass nightlights with a polish made just for stained glass - before I mail them out to my customers.

To talk to me: You can use the "conversation" function here in Etsy, or you can email me at: glassbypat [!at] ameritech.net

I double-box all my glass items so that when I ship them to you, they arrive safely. I also insure the boxes.

The night light is lovely. Exactly what I hoped it would look like. Only wish the LED light itself were a bit brighter.

About

I have always loved the way light looks through colored & beveled glass.

My love for light streaming through colored glass led me to my first stained glass class around 25 years ago. It was taught by a friend, & I learned ALOT in that class. I still have the first piece I made, and I still love it!.

It didn't take long before I purchased my first kiln and started fusing glass. Fusing glass is not only challenging, but great fun, also! I love fusing dichroic pieces for jewelry, and I love making bowls!

I found Etsy when the shop, where I rented a booth for 8 years, closed. I am soooo happy that I found Etsy! I just love Etsy and all my online customers/patrons!! And, I love special orders! I started with nightlights in this shop, but now I include all my glass creations here.

My Etsy shop specializes in special orders! Shoot an idea at me, and I'll see what I can come up with! Often I use stained glass & fused glass techniques in the same piece.

I learned stained glass 25 years ago at a friend's shop - both copper foil and leaded glass. I love sunlight streaming through colored glass! I got my first kiln 6 years later & learned to fuse glass. I enjoy making items using both techniques.

Thanks for visiting my shop!

My name is Pat, and I've been working with art glass for over 25 years. I learned stained glass techniques first because I thought the beauty of colored glass with light streaming through it was incredible! Next, I learned to fuse glass. I use my fused pieces to make jewelry, & I also make spoon rests, plates, bowls, sushi sets, butter dishes, nightlights, etc. You can see more of my art glass pieces at: www.glassbypat.com.

I am open to special order requests, and I would love to create a special order Etsy listing just for you! All special orders & all items in this shop that are "MADE TO ORDER" have a 4 to 6 WEEKS turnaround time. I'm sorry about the time, but I usually have over 25 ordered items to make at any one time. If I can get your item done earlier than that, I will do so.

Shipping
I ship my nightlights & glass by USPS priority mail in the U.S.

I have switched all my listings to calculated shipping. Etsy offers this as a new upgrade. So, when you order something from my shop, the Etsy platform will actually figure out the correct amount of postage due from my zip code (or country internationally) to yours.
Thank you! Pat
Refunds and Exchanges
Guarantee: If you aren't satisfied with your purchase, return it to me in the same condition within 2 weeks for a refund of the price you paid for item. I am sorry, but I can not refund shipping costs which I have already paid. In the alternative, you can return it to me in the same condition, & I can make you a new item. You'll need to pay more shipping, please.

Additional policies and FAQs
My nightlights & suncatchers can be custom made just for you - so you can pick colors, the type of fixture, etc. Due to my schedule & number of orders, I give a turnaround time for "MADE TO ORDER" items at 4 to 6 WEEKS. However, if I can, I will get your order to you more quickly. Once you purchase a "MADE TO ORDER" item(s), I will send you a "convo" with more specific information about where you are in the queue.

Due to the nature of handmade items, each item might have slight variations. I may not be able to make your requested glass piece exactly like the pictures in my listings. These pictures are already sold items. I am willing to take pictures of samples of glass that I have on hand, so you can decide which one you would like for your night light. If none of these glass pieces work for you, I am willing to give you a refund.

If this nightlight is for a child, please let me know, and I'll use lead-free solder and no hobby lead when I make the nightlight.

If you are purchasing this item as a gift, please let me know. I will include a handwritten note inside - from you. Just send me a message.

Please visit again. I hope you'll become a "regular"!
