Hand blown glass in the Pacific Northwest
This business was started by Barbara Sanderson from the ground up. She's an outdoor enthusiast and garden lover who focused her craft on creating unique and colorful pieces for year round outdoor decor'. My husband and I purchased this wonderful business from her when she decided that it was time for her to move onto the next adventure that lays ahead for her.
Both Patrick and I learned glass blowing from the University of South Alabama and have been working with glass for over 4 years. We plan on using our knowledge in glass to continue making the pieces you've known to find at Glass Gardens NW and expand on some new ideas of our own to add.
Many of these pieces can be left outside all year long in all climates. The bright and vivid colors add a lot to any garden in all seasons.
Thanks for stopping by and please let me know if you have any questions!

Additional policies and FAQs
Can I leave my Glass Gardens NW products outdoors in all weather?
My outdoor sculptures are created with thick glass and are designed to be left outside in all seasons. The color of the glass does not fade over time or with sun exposure. Freezing weather does not cause glass to crack – instead it’s freezing water in contained spaces that expands and causes cracking. Since most of my outdoor sculptures do not collect water they are safe in freezing weather conditions. Floats that are purchased for water features should be brought out of the water during freezing weather. Thermal shock can also cause glass to crack. If your sculptures are in sunny locations in warm areas and are shocked with cold water spray (such as from automatic watering systems) the glass may suffer from thermal shock and crack. Just make sure to either water in cooler parts of the day or evening or locate your glass away from automatic watering systems.
How do I clean my glass artwork?
You can clean your glass with either glass cleaners like Windex or with warm soapy water.
Do you make custom orders?
Yes I love to collaborate with folks who are looking for custom glass sculptures. Please contact me directly to discuss your ideas.
