About

A creative Life … Glenda Puhek Pottery

I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. It is just what I do to explain things to myself, to invent, to fill 25 minutes in a coffee shop.

It was an artist- friend that introduced me to ceramics when she was completing a large commission for a public project and she needed artists to help her. We were all encouraged to bring our own personal vision into her concept. Drawing in clay was and is the most forgiving medium I ever worked with. It's sort of 'alive'.

Drawing and embroidery have occupied my creative explorations all of my life. I love the way small details combine to create something meaningful…it is quiet, meditative work.

If you have questions about my work, please feel free to ask me about it.

All my work is ©glenda puhek

Drawing gives me a way to connect to the natural world. Ceramics gives me a way to make drawings really permanent. My practical soul relishes working in a medium that is very permanent.
