Across the Rockies - A family story

In 2013, with a passion for the creative and a business-oriented mind (who knew those could happen together?), I set out to create unique pieces of stained glass. I first learned stained glass in high school, nearly 20 years ago and have been crafting and selling glass steadily for the past 10 years. Glass and creative pursuits are truly my passion and I covet every moment I'm able to spend in my studio.

Over the past eight years, the business has grown and expanded to become a family affair! In 2015, I went on maternity leave and my mother and step-dad joined in on the fun. Astrid and John create many of our permanent collection designs for our Etsy customers and also craft exclusively for our wholesale stockists across Canada and the US.

I now have two young daughters that fill my life with excitement each day. Because my parents are located on Vancouver Island, while I'm in Calgary, our orders will ship from both places - from one side of the Rocky Mountains or the other!

Nothing makes us happier than creating something to bring a smile to a face.
If you have any questions at all - please reach out, we are happy to chat.

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions

To help you care for your stained glass item, we include a care instruction sheet with each order. It's great for gifts, as it also says a bit about us and how we make our items.
To give a little love to your stained glass items, wipe with a damp, soapy cloth (don't submerge). Buff clean with paper towel or an old rag. Add furniture polish like Pledge to bring a shine back to those patina lines as required.
As the items are made with breakable glass and the solder lines contain lead, we don't recommend giving them to children or pets, sleeping with or eating out of them.

Wholesale availability

So you want to have us in your shop? We are happy to offer wholesale! Please contact us for our line sheet. Want something else? Message us for custom wholesale requests!

Custom and personalised orders

We love working on custom pieces and bringing your vision to life! Just shoot us a message and we can chat.

HOW IT WORKS: We charge an initial design fee, and if you go ahead with the design, we will take payment in full before the work begins.

TIMELINE: Custom orders typically take one to three weeks for design and up to three weeks to produce before shipping (depending on the item).

Looking forward to working with you!

Bulk orders (weddings, employee appreciation or event gifts)

We like big orders and we cannot lie! ... but we do need some time to complete them. Please consider a timeline of about three weeks for all orders with more than 10 items. Busy times (like Christmas) of the year could affect these timelines.

BUT DO YOU OFFER A DISCOUNT? Yes! We'd love to offer you a discount for a large purchase. Message us with your ideas and quantity required and we'll let you know what we can do for you.

Product safety

It's true. Our products contain breakable glass and lead, as is the case with traditional stained glass. ... BUT since you are not licking or cuddling our products, this is shouldn't be an issue. We recommend you use them for their intended purpose - decoration.
Lead is mostly absorbed by consuming it (through the mouth) and neither you, nor I plan on doing that, right!?

Shipping

PLEASE ALLOW 14 BUSINESS DAYS for your order to be delivered before contacting us. Unless you have been sent a tracking number for your parcel, there is no tracking - this applies to most of our smaller or flat items.
We ship everything via Canada Post unless otherwise requested.
Flat objects are shipped by lettermail or light packet to save you monies (and sometimes it's even faster!).
Items that ship from Calgary to the US, are usually shipped using ChitChats/USPS.

PACKAGING: We try to use recycled or reused items to ship our products, doing our part for the environment and your pocketbook. We make sure it looks all professional for you, though. Every order is wrapped in either brown paper or wrapping paper for extra joy.

Returns/Shipping Damage

If you receive our product and it's broken, please let us know RIGHT AWAY and send a picture. Eventhough we take special care in packaging your items, the postoffice doesn't always take the same care in transporting them. We are happy to replace or refund your damaged order - we may just request you send back the damaged product on our dime.

If you're unhappy, we want to make it right! ... BUT if you've had the product in your pretty hands for more than seven days, we consider it final sale.
