About

Goddessa Jewels brings art jewelry and crystal healing together to create a unique statement piece for your collection

Spirituality and ritual are of great importance in my life. I have studied the metaphysical uses of stones since I began work in the gem and jewelry industry while managing The Bead Box in Boone, NC in 2006. In 2010, on Isla Ometepe, a volcanic Island on Lake Nicaragua, I received my Reiki 1 certification. In 2013, I recieve a Reiki Master certificate after two 21 days courses and 5 months of experience at the Healing House of Cusco in Peru. I also received clinical practice while there doing a free locals clinic and providing Reiki at one of the local women's shelter each week. Sharing Reiki healing with my family and community is one of the most gratifying things in my life. Each piece of art I create gives me another window of light to share with those around me. Each piece is designed with stones combinations for maximum efficacy. Then the piece is infused with Reiki and intention to share healing with the wearer. I currently manage a crystal and jewelry gallery in Asheville, NC called Enter the Earth, one of the largest distributers of stones and fossils from Madagascar in the United States. I travel to 8 trade shows a year, including Tucson Gem and Mineral show, to purchase and provide unique high quality specimens. In my spare time, I make one of a kind pieces of jewelry and sell stones in my studio at the Phil Mechanic Studios in River Arts District. I enjoy experimenting in many types of metals including sterling silver, brass, and copper. My love, and some would say obsession, with stones is my inspiration for my work. I am so enthralled with stones I cannot pass them by without adding something new to my collection. Each stone is so individually unique and beautiful that they all have a story to tell and deserve to be featured in a piece of artwork just as brilliant. My designs try to enhance the visual qualities of the stones, rather than detract, by keeping the store the primary focus. Each day in my studio I learn more and more, as most of my techniques are self taught. In 2009, I studied with Jim Rice in Boone NC at Appalachian State University for 6 weeks. And in 2013, I studied with metalsmith Walter David in Cusco Perú for 10 weeks. I have studied at William Holland Lapidary School the last two summers for one week intinsives. It is my hope to keep experimenting, keep studying, and pushing the boundaries of my artwork more and more each year. I hope you enjoy what you see and if you do decide to purchase a special piece of my art that it inspires your passions and warms your heart!
