My sister was so happy with this scarf-- she has been placing it where she can see it whenever she is not wearing it since she opened the package. I cannot imagine how much work was put into it, but every thread and every stitch is in the right place. Inez also added a personal card and sent me a note through email. Highly recommended!

Beautiful poncho... the threads are so rich in color and soft in texture. Ines, crocheted beautiful, and perfectly - not one mistake. Love my new wardrobe piece. THANKS.

Have a look at my Etsy store. I just uploaded this beauty. I wish I could wear it myself, but it's a poncho for a 5 to 7 year old. Perfect for cool spring days. sunny

hand work = heart work

It took me a long time to find out what makes me happy. I used to choose work that would guarantee an income, but I kept feeling I was meant for something else. When I finally gave in to my lifelong desire to make beautiful things with my hands, all started to fall into place. So this is what they mean when you make your profession out of your passion.

Everything I create - at the moment - is fiber arts related. I crochet, knit, sew, quilt and needle felt.

I love natural products like wool, cotton and silk. But also good quality acrylic yarns.

Whenever possible I use old fabric and buttons. My great grandmother would cut off buttons from clothes that were beyond repair. She saved the buttons in an old tin cigar box. I love browsing through them when I need something special for a textile collage or an art doll or a crochet project.

I inherited my grandmother's silks. She loved to embroider. I use silk in all kinds of mixed media projects.

American pioneer women who never threw away anything, inspire me to this day. They saved every bit of fabric because it was so valuable. That is how I consider my growing collecting of silks, cottons, wools and flannels.

I hope you like what you see in my shop. For more check out my blog and my Facebook page where I post regular updates and pictures of my work in progress.

I am a Dutch woman married to an American man and living in the Old West of Amsterdam. I have a beautiful small studio with a view of a canal where I am working every day. I am happiest when my hands are busy making beautiful things.
