Absolutely gorgeous Awen pendant, beautifully done! Thank you!
gogoshebogo :: the joy of being what you love
gogoshebogo ... sounds silly perhaps, but I named my jewelry shop after my sweet doggy Indigo, aka Gogo. She was so darn happy every single day of her 11 years. - jumping up and down and spinning in circles before a walk. That is the energy I want for my work - and my life!
It has taken me awhile to find my stride as an artist, but I feel like I'm there now. I create my own metal clay powders, design my own pieces from scratch, fire them all myself...basically my process is like baking cookies in a really hot oven/kiln. I don't actually mill my own flour, but I don't use a mix and the end result is nothing like a box of Oreos. Every piece has its own personality.
I'm inspired by the oscillating organic patterns found in nature, yogic traditions and just whatever strikes me as fun or beautiful. Custom orders are my absolute favorite.
The act of creating requires, by its very nature, some destruction, but I'm committed to being as environmentally friendly as I can. Shipping materials are recycled and/or recyclable shipping materials whenever possible.
Quite simply, I love to create. My yoga practice has made me a stronger person and it is easy to see how it has influenced the jewelry I create. Nature is a constant source of inspiration as well.
