This is my 2nd purchase from Good for you spa; my first was a few years ago at a local event I was vending for my husband who gets terribly cracked hands in the winter he swears by these bars now. I looooove them too because of course I snagged one. These little cuties soothe my dry skin and smell so yummy, new favorite is the sunshine. My only complaint is they last so long I always have to wait for a new scent. Thank you for my new purchase!! Please keep me posted if you ever do a sandalwood, vetiver or light patchouli. Now back to knitting with my no longer dry hands.

About

Natural Products - That are good for you, your family & the planet.

- About Me -
Hey there! I’m Crystal and I live in Connecticut with my husband, dog and cat. I am an accountant by day and a creator by night and most weekends. I have always had a fascination since a was a child with making things and putting things together my own way. I love animals and all things natural. I enjoy cooking, crafting, researching natural living and spending time with friends and family.

- Why I Started Making Natural Bath & Body Products -
I often get asked why I decided to make natural bath and body products. It all started because of an incident that happened to our family dog Scruffy. The story begins on a night in November 2010, we had washed him with a popular flea & tick shampoo and that night he had a seizure. After this I researched this company, and the ingredients in this pet shampoo. I was mortified to find out one of of the main ingredients in this soap was a “PESTICIDE” used in a popular ant and bug spray! From that day on, I checked the labels for everyting we gave our dog. It was overwhelming at first. The more I researched the ingredients for Scruffy, it got me thinking about the products my husband and I use everyday! My family thought I was crazy at first but I was on a mission. I made my first soap for my dog. I was so impressed how soft it made his coat and the essential oils smelled wonderful. From that day on I was hooked and started making soap for my family and myself! I then started creating my own moisturizers, lip balms, toilet spray, facial serums and I am always creating new natural products! It makes me feel good knowing the ingredients are natural, simple and so "Good For You" and our environment! Sadly our dog still has seizures every now and then, but I am a firm believer everything happens for a reason. If it wasn’t for my sweet dog, I still might be living my old toxic life style today.

- How Good For You Spa Came to Be -
When I started making soap and I had too much to use, so I started to give some away to friends and family. I started putting together gift sets that included my soap, lip balm and body butters. I would give these sets for Christmas, Birthdays, Housewarming gifts and everyone loved them! When my friends and family started asking me to buy some, I thought I would to try to sell some of my products. I chose the name “Good For You Spa” because only all natural ingredients are used, that are both good for you and the environment. There are no harsh chemicals, parabens, phthalates or preservatives in my products. In the month of June 2013 I started to sell my products at my local Farmers Market and later was asked to participate in small craft/vendor fairs and the rest is history! Over the past year, Good For You Spa has continued to grow in more ways than one, but still keeping true to small batch, handmade quality. My product line has grown from handmade soap to lip balms, body butters, lotion bars, bug repellent, facial serums and more! I also offer custom guest soaps, party favors and gift baskets perfect for bridal showers, baby showers, hostess gifts, teachers gifts, or any other special occasion.

Good For you Spa products are all handmade in Enfield, Connecticut. Many of our ingredients are from local Connecticut farms and suppliers! We try to use certified organic ingredients whenever possible. The whole business is based on passion and love from packaging, creating labels, and researching new recipes for skin conditions. At Good For You Spa our mission is to use simple, quality ingredients from nature, to handcraft effective, safe, wholesome skin, hair care, and home products. We also operate our business to live as green as possible by recycling, reusing and packaging our products in biodegradable & recyclable packaging, to respect our planet. I don’t put anything in my products I wouldn’t use on my own family, no dyes, preservatives & harsh chemicals just simple, natural good for you ingredients!
