Food-grade beauty products, handmade in a Chicago kitchen.
Two old friends from the same small town, we reconnected in Chicago through our love for the same hobbies: cooking, gardening, drinking wine, and tackling any sort of DIY project you could imagine.
Soapmaking came up as an idea for handmade Christmas gifts - we would use fresh, organic ingredients from our own kitchen and leave out all the chemicals and perfumes that had always annoyed us. Our friends and family loved them, and we were hooked. We eventually cut all commercial products out of our lives and started a whole new line from scratch - scrubs, masks, butters, shampoos and more. All made with food-grade ingredients, purchased locally and ground fresh whenever possible. We love the simplicity of these natural products, and especially love teaching others about their amazing benefits. We now sell at Chicago festivals and at some rad local businesses around town.
We still share a passion for creating, and are always tinkering with new products and formulas. These days, the magic happens in Humboldt Park, where we still meet up to cook, pour some drinks, brainstorm, and create a batch or two of all-natural soap. We hope you'll enjoy our products as much as we enjoy making them!
