Creating New from the Old
One of my life's goals is to reuse and recycle whenever possible.
In our home in Chicago my husband and I (more I than him honestly) have eight raised garden beds and two large compost bins (we call them our worm factories) in our backyard.
All our compost-ables from cooking gets fed to the worms, who then gift us with this amazing rich dirt for our garden every year. I love the cycle of it all.
It's the same energy I put into my Etsy store.
There are items so beautiful and unique as they are, I find and "rescue" them, photograph and add them to my store for sale, as a way for these vintage items to be used and enjoyed again in this era. I especially love vintage jewelry.
But there is a good amount of my jewelry stock beyond repair, and even more that's stored away, sadly forgotten without any possibility of being enjoyed again.
Until I began making mosaics out of them.
Vintage Jewelry collage, Bead & Button Art, Mixed Media Mosaics .. however you call this artwork, is just another way I'm recycling and reusing.
I also have a huge collection of beads and buttons. Who doesn't love buttons? And have added that and more fun elements into my creations.
So please know I absolutely love creating each unique bird, butterfly or little animal design - and I haven't wasted a single element in its making.

Gift wrapping and packaging
Is your purchase a gift? A handwritten card is included at no extra charge. You can add a personalized message. Just enter your words into the Notes section of your cart.
All purchases are individually and beautifully hand wrapped ready for gift giving.
I recycle and reuse packing materials whenever possible. I only use clean materials in good condition.
Shipping Issues
If you receive your item damaged during shipping, please take detailed photographs of the box and your item. This is the best way to prove damage has occurred through an insurance claim.
International Purchases
I do ship outside of the US! Please contact me for a shipping quote.
Vintage life
My pieces are mostly vintage, and have outwardly shown their long lived life. Keep in mind these wonderful imperfections are part of the character and history of each piece.

Why did you name your store GoodVibesButterfly?
GOOD VIBES! My store name represents what I hope to pass along when you shop my wares. We all need more good feeling in our lives, surrounding ourselves with a little bit of happiness can make a big impact in every little thing you do :)
How did you get into selling vintage?
Why vintage? Well, because to me, everything around us has a history - even inanimate things. Everything no matter how small holds a past, & within its past this item has been loved & held and used for something special.
I seek those pieces of our past.
Many of the items in my store have shared a part of my history, from my own personal story. Other pieces I've "rescued" and resuscitated back to its original sense of beauty & usefulness.
It's most likely the artist in me. When I see something forgotten or set aside, I look for its inner potential. Because that energy carries on, and make these little treasures truly your own.
