Announcement    Please excuse the sparse look of my shop right now. Keeping it small for now...

The Gossamer Tearoom is a shop of vintage images made into my handmade silk and glitter art brooches, pendants and ornaments, handmade quirky and unique cards and stationery and bringing sunshine to the dusty old Tearoom...the lovable paper doll -in-residence, Victorienne!

The twinkling of little bee lights and strange, but enthralling music waft over your head. Please make your way through the shadows to something silk and glitter and, sometimes, just a bit of something strange. Welcome to The Gossamer Tearoom, this tearoom of your imagination, this cabinet of curiosities of the Aether. Photographic and collaged oddities and vintage ephemera, translated into silk and paper, for wearing, cherishing or giving...

Please visit my other shop on Etsy, Mirabella Morello, a virtual emporium of sweet vintage goodies:
    http://www.etsy.com/shop/mirabellamorello
(Unfortunately, closed for the time being.)

Our sister shop Velvet Revived is the perfect place to look for digital collage sheets, printable invitations and printable decorations and kits, all made from vintge images!

I'm very happy to take your payment in the form of PayPal, Direct Checkout or Etsy Gift Card!

    About

Do You Take A Lump of Sinister or a Lump of Sweet With Your Tea?

So many things inspire me to create art: gorgeous images, beautiful papers and fabrics, a nicely arranged tea party. But I'm also interested in the paranormal, Oddities and dark and unique images. All of these images look amazing when printed on silk and hand-sewn into a gorgeous little pillow brooch! I also love making cards with beautiful papers and rubber stamps and garlands of pretty paper dolls! I also fully admit that my first trip to Paris left a wonderfully indelible mark on me and has heavily influenced a lot of what I do. I would love nothing more than to own a tiny shop there and just make and sell beautiful handmade items there!

I make everything I sell here, by myself. This shop explores both the light and dark sides of my creativity. Every item I make is a reflection of my love of art and crafting.

The Gossamer Tea Room is a place where I sell items I make by hand. The items I make are inspired by such things as moonlight, tea parties, delicious desserts, Paris and that book you can't put down until the last page. Thank you so much for your interest in the things I make! I have fun making them!

    Accepted payment methods

Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
    Returns and exchanges
If you wish to return something, please contact me within a week of having received your order and convo me in advance so we can make arrangements for its return. If you have any problems with your order, please contact me as possible, so that I can work with you and correct the problem.
    Payment
I gladly accept PayPal, Direct Checkout and Etsy Gift Cards for payment of items bought here. Per Etsy's rule, all purchases must be paid for at the time the transaction is made (you must order and pay at the same time).
    Shipping
I ship via USPS with delivery confirmation, using recycled shipping materials as much as possible. I am generally able to ship out packages within one to two days of your having ordered (sometimes sooner!). I will contact you in the event of my not being able to ship within that time (you have ordered on a weekend, etc.). Please feel free to contact me if you need something to go out more quickly and I can quote a shipping upgrade for you.

*Please see below for Revised International Shipping Policy as of 8/6/13*
I have tried to over-estimate shipping charges to take into account the range of prices to ship to different countries. I promptly refund any over-payment of shipping charges more than $2.00 upon shipment of your order. All buyers are responsible for any customs, duties charges, VAT or other various customs charges they may incur upon delivery in their country of destination.
    Additional policies and FAQs
All items are made in a smoke-free, pet-free home.

A note about postage: all the cards I make require only standard first-class postage, with the exception of square cards, which require additional potage to mail within the U.S.

Would I consider doing a custom order? Absolutely! Just convo me so we can discuss what you will need, how long it will take and the price.
