Announcement   Welcome to a world of gr8grains … ‘Aftertree’ wood, exotic wood grain, and creation of meaningful furnishings to emulate or accentuate nature’s fine arts; discovering latent utility and beauty in recycled/ repurposed/restored materials combining and adapting disparate resources. Custom handcrafted heirlooms and individualized objets d’art; conserving, reclaiming and preserving the exquisite beauty of natural treasures, particularly those with personal emotional importance for you.

We represent a very small and unique group of traditional senior artisans in the central Rocky Mountains, who share a determination to preserve vintage trade crafts such as woodworking, painting, blacksmithing, fabric design, ironworking and woodcarving. We offer hand-crafted items featuring those individual traditional trade skills, or blended combinations thereof, for commercial or residential use, indoor and outdoor applications.

One of the things we hand-blend and sell is a dust-repellent restorative formula for cleaning, polishing and caring for antique wood, flooring and even metal surfaces. The polish was formulated by an early 20th century furniture craftsman, L. O. Moser, Sr. of Lynchburg, Virginia, specifically to properly preserve and care for his fine furniture product.

Much of our displayed work is intended to be prototypical from which we welcome custom orders in sizes, colors, grains, or blends to suit your individual tastes and needs. Every item is individually hand-crafted by me or design coordinated by me as a controlled blend of the work of the craftspeople we represent. Normal variations in color, grain, texture, stability and finish are to be expected working with a natural material such as wood. Remember, we’re always ready to help you create an individualized treasure uniquely for you.
