About

The story of Granny Mockingbird begins with a small bird who returns every Spring to our farm to make a new nest.

She has had so many nests that she has to be a Granny. When I work on my porch, she comes, watches, and talks to me. So, I leave her little bits of yarn and fabric. Some years she has had the most colorful nests, so I often feel that we have worked on projects together. Hence the name.

I have now been Quilting for 35+ years/Knitting and Crocheting for 50+ years. Granny Mockingbird has been an outlet for my work since 1992. My mission is to keep people warm, comforted, and loved, especially babies and children. Quilted products include Quilts, Wall Hangings, Table Toppers and Place Mats; Knitting and Crocheting products include Blankets, Afghans, and Hats. I am proud to say that my products have won numerous Quilting and Knitting ribbons from County/State Fairs and individual shows, and my items have been shipped all over the world!
