Kim is so great to work with and made me the greatest bag ever. She asks questions to get a feel for your personality so she can get the exact materials needed to make the your bag unique and your own. I'm so happy with my new bag and am already thinking of another combination to have another made. You won't go wrong working with Kim!

I wish there was a FABULOUS feedback button. This bag is beautiful! Kimberly kept in contact with me the entire time, I was able to pick out fabrics that were perfect for my personality (and she didn’t mind that I was really picky) and she cut the bag so I could enjoy the best part of the pattern (the elephant) each time I open the bag. I love the leaf stitching on the top of the bag, no detail was missed. Impeccable details and craftsmanship, I really love it. Thank you!
The simple facts.
Hello again, we've already met but it is important for me to tell you that this is my dream job. I am so glad you stopped by to support me, an independent artist. I am excited to share with you a bit about myself and my shop because the connection between collector and artist is what makes Etsy so special.
I believe that I am an artist. I believe that someone who loves to cook is an artist. The child drawing on the sidewalk with chalk is an artist. We are all artists at heart. I make handbags, a simple every day item that has become all too utilitarian. It is my shops mission to create artfully tasteful bags out of unique materials to fill the void in the art world for truly functional, wearable art.
I believe a handbag should be:
To achieve these results I am known to:
-use recycled, repurposed, upcycled, foraged, thrifted, reclaimed, and/or locally sourced materials
-use non-conventional materials
-design and draft patterns for my bags from scratch and redraft them until the drape, body, hang and look of each piece is exactly how I want it. This process takes anywhere from one day to several months. I strive to perfectly match my vision!
-pick up treasures on my backpacking trips all over the world (silk brocade in Hong Kong, flamenco material in Seville, sari trim in Bangladesh, etc.)
-use high quality materials and methods for longevity and durability
-consider customers requests, desires and needs for each bag and bring their vision to life
When I was a child I always felt weird, different... like an outcast. As I have grown into an adult I have learned to embrace and harness my unique spirit to create items for the world to enjoy. In turn, I am comforted knowing each of my customers is somewhere out there enjoying a piece of eccentric little me.
My process is detail oriented and painstaking from beginning to end. Before you've even seen a bag it has been made and remade at least 10 times as a muslin to get the pattern, pleat placement, pocket size, drape just right. It has been tested on different materials with different interfacing types to get the drape and hang exactly as I pictured it to be. Each bag is straight stitched, all raw edges are finished, it's turned right side out and top stitched. Hours upon hours of love and labor goes into the creative process. My bags look as beautiful on the inside as they do out, and this is because that is the only way to get a bag that will last you years to come.

I am an artist, I am a wanderer, I think Cimetière du Père-Lachaise is the most beautiful place in the world, I love artisan pickles & the occasional glass of fine scotch. Call me old fashioned or an oddball and I will say thanks.
My Niece, Dani :)
This is Dani. She is my squishy (that means niece). She learned to sew this weekend and I couldn't be more proud. Grandma (my Mom) taught her, just like she taught me. Here she is modeling her pillow, stuffed Tinkerbell and homemade dress.
