Announcement   Check out my NEW shop at www.ShopGrayjay.etsy.com. I recently moved from London to the US and decided to open a new Etsy shop because I encountered a lot of incompatibilities and problems on the Etsy platform for a shop started in one country but relocated to another. Updates

After moving from the UK to the US I opened a NEW Etsy shop www.ShopGrayjay.etsy.com due to problems found on the Etsy platform for int’l shops that move countries. I hope you follow me at my new URL to see my NEW collections of hand marbled metal jewelry
I love to make bespoke/custom orders, like this lovely pendant I recently made specially for an international customer. If you have something in mind or need a unique gift contact me to discuss desired size and colour.
I'm hosting a mid-season sale on bright and colorful necklaces, rings, brooches and earrings. 15-30% off on select items.

I’ve been an artist all my life. I trained and worked as both a designer and painter for nearly two decades. With degrees in graphic design, I also studied textile arts as well as completed coursework at the London Jewellery School.

A few years back I began to explore other formats beyond the traditional canvas, making small clay sculptures reflective of my linear abstract painting. These explorations lent themselves to be wearable and so it goes... what started as an undirected exploration became a full time designing/making business. I launched my business by doing curated craft markets and art fairs in London UK. I've been commissioned to do a bespoke jewelry range for the Royal Academy of Art and stocked by independent boutiques in some of London's best shopping districts.

I now enjoy living and working in Kansas City MO.

Both practices, jewellery and painting, directly inform one another and I move fluidly between the two. I approach the clay's faceted surfaces and edges like miniature abstract works of art. I'm also inspired by and incorporate my own interpretation of traditional craft-based techniques such as gilding and marbling. I work with non-traditional jewellery making materials because I'm interested in creating beauty out of very basic and unassuming materials, such as paints, wood, clay, non-precious metals and ribbon.
