Card with print as pictured, fine quality. I didn't see the note about combining shipping, and the artist refunded me the shipping cost on one of the two cards I bought.

About

Remembering How to Breathe

It was in Manchester, New Hampshire, while pursuing my longtime career in academic publications, that I returned to my studio art roots and began oil painting again with New England impressionist June Latti, at the Currier Museum of Art. It felt like remembering how to breathe.

A native of upstate New York with a BA in studio art, I've worked variously as graphic designer, illustrator, retail display designer, art director, writer, editor, communications coordinator, academic publications director, and drawing instructor.

Since returning to the Greater Binghamton area of New York as GreenBoat Design / GreenBoat Studio, I've been making award-winning freelance fine art and design, teaching oil painting at local libraries, and showing as an Exhibiting Member of Cooperative Gallery 213 in Binghamton. It's the life and career I always wanted.

My hope is that you'll see in my work a reflection, an exploration, of this re-found freedom to create. My heart is open to you in my work. Take my inspiration and make it yours.

FAQs
Q. - I see a number of paintings of morris dance amongst your work. Are you a morris dancer?
A. - Not anymore, but in the past I have danced with Hearts of Oak Morris (mixed), Binghamton/Ithaca NY; Rose Mountain Morris (women), Montrose PA; and, briefly, BF Harridans Morris (women), Binghamton NY.

Q. - I know you make and sell earrings - where are they?
A. - They're at Old Barn Hollow, a locovore and artisan shop in Binghamton NY, and sometimes at Cooperative Gallery 213, also in Binghamton. I'm no longer selling earrings online, except by request.

ARE YOU LOCAL TO THE BINGHAMTON, NY AREA? If you'd like to save shipping charges by picking up your purchase in person, please contact me before purchasing.

--------------------------------------------------------
Sales Tax: NEW YORK STATE BUYERS
By law, I must charge destination-based sales tax to all packages shipped within NYS. Since different localities add different rates to the standard state sales tax, there is no way for me to tell, until I have your address, what sales tax to charge you.

IF YOUR LOCAL COMBINED SALES TAX IS GREATER THAN 8%, please select "OTHER" as your payment method, and wait for a revised invoice. Then follow the instructions in the transaction notice you receive by email after checkout. (Really, it's not as complicated as it might sound! Just click "Other," and I'll take it from there.)

Thanks for your patience and understanding!
------------------------------------------------------

I accept payment through either Etsy or PayPal, or by US postal money order (US orders only).

Credit card customers: You don't need a PayPal account to use PayPal for payment.

Please pay at the time of purchase. If I don't receive payment or communication within 3 days of your order I will cancel the purchase and re-list the item.

Shipping
CHARGES FOR SHIPPING WITHIN THE USA ARE INCLUDED IN THE POSTED PRICES. Others pay an additional upcharge. (This excludes listings which haven't yet been edited for size variations, which still entail shipping costs.)

ARE YOU LOCAL TO THE BINGHAMTON, NY AREA? If you'd like to save shipping charges by picking up your purchase in person, please contact me before purchasing.

I generally ship twice a week, via USPS first class mail to your Etsy address*, and use recycled packaging when possible.

Please allow 3-5 business days between ordering and shipping, except in the case of custom 10-pack card orders, which take a minimum of one week.

Smaller art prints and art cards are shipped in a protective sleeve and sandwiched by cross-grained layers of corrugated cardboard.

Larger prints are shipped in rigid mailing tubes.

If you're ordering from outside the US, please note that international buyers are responsible for any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred.

Although I will do my best to make sure you receive your order, once I have shipped your item/s, I cannot be responsible for delivery.

*Let me know if I should re-direct your order, or if you'd like an item sent as a gift; I'll happily include a custom gift card with whatever content you specify.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be as happy with your new art, prints, or cards as I am to make and send them to you.

I photograph as true to color as I can, but different devices will show colors differently. If the artwork or print you buy seems radically different than what you thought you were getting, you can return it and I'll refund your money. (Please note: I don't cover return shipping fees, and returned items must be in as-new condition.)

*Please contact me BEFORE returning any items, and make that contact within 3 days of receiving your purchase.*
Additional policies and FAQs
My figurative paintings and drawings are sourced primarily from reference photographs I've taken myself. The artworks are not duplications of the source images, and are not intended to be - I make many changes in the planning and then in the painting process. Any resemblance to specific persons, living or dead, is unintended and coincidental unless otherwise noted.

CUSTOM ORDERS / COMMISSIONS FROM SOURCE PHOTOS
I am no longer accepting commissions.
