Below are answers to all the questions I could possibly think of that might come up. Feel free to convo me if you have any others!

WHO IS BEHIND GREEN ELEMENTS?

My name is Suzie Blodgett, soon to be Suzie Struble. I'm 41 (and holding from now on!) and work out of my home in West Milford, NJ, which I share with the love of my life, Chris, and our amazing son, Zach.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN BUSINESS?

I opened Green Elements in 2007, about a year after graduating college in which I studied green design. Business has certainly changed over the past few years... What started out as a brick and mortar retail store became an eco-craft business on the fair and festival circuit and now, I am focused on the vintage and antique finds I love while getting to stay at home to work.

WHAT MAKES YOUR BUSINESS GREEN?

Buying vintage and antique wares has always been "green."

To lessen my environmental footprint when crafting, I work hard to find materials that have a high recycled content, are reclaimed or sustainably harvested, are renewable or are repurposed. I chose natural materials whenever possible and if using anything manmade, its manufacturing process should be minimal impact using little to no chemicals. I try to source materials as locally as possible to cut down on transportation energy. I use only non-toxic glues and try to find finishes (if used at all) that are non-toxic as well.

I support environmentally responsible companies when choosing services such as wind-powered web-hosting, our office supplies are recycled (always selecting 100% post-consumer waste if possible) and unbleached, and we reuse packing materials.

Payment
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We currently accept US money orders or payment through PayPal, which includes credit cards or echeck. PayPal is a secure payment site for your peace of mind.

Once we receive notice from PayPal that payment is confirmed, your order will be shipped. Please note when paying my echeck through PayPal, items will not be shipped until we receive notification from PayPal that your check has cleared. This can sometimes take up to a week.

If we have not received payment confirmation from PayPal within 3 business days, we will send a notice that your transaction will be cancelled due to non-payment. This will allow you the opportunity to change your method of payment if necessary.

Please note, when paying by money order, your item will not be shipped until the money order is received and cleared.
Shipping
HOW ARE PACKAGES SHIPPED?

Once payment has been received, your order will ship out from our shop within one business day via UPS or USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. Please allow approximately 7 business days to receive your package, although it should arrive much sooner than that!

If it looks like your packaging has been recycled, it probably has! We reuse everything we can!

IS SHIPPING INSURANCE AVAILABLE?

Shipping insurance is available for an additional charge which will be added to your total. Please convo me if you would like a quote based on the full value of your order.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PACKAGE IS SHIPPED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS?

Please verify your shipping address is correct in PayPal. We will send an email to you confirming address prior to shipment. Should we need to resend your package because we received an incorrect shipping address, you will be responsible for additional shipping charges incurred.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

We are currently shipping to US addresses only.

CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER?

If you are in our area, you are absolutely welcome to pick up your order directly from us. If you have payed with PayPal, we will send you an email when payment has cleared and your order is ready for pick up. Your shipping charges will be refunded. You can also pay by cash upon pick up.

CAN YOU SHIP DIRECTLY TO A GIFT RECIPIENT?

We would love to! Upon check out, please let us know you would like a gift note and what the short message should be as well as whether or not we should include a receipt.
Refunds and Exchanges
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

We work hard to bring you products you will love. If you are not satisfied with something you have purchased from us, please let us know. We will be happy to exchange your goods or refund your purchase if we are notified within five days from the date you receive your order. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs incurred on returns or exchanges unless there was a product defect.

MY JEWELRY DOESN'T FIT. NOW WHAT?

Each of our product descriptions in the jewelry section includes a finished length. Please check carefully prior to ordering. Please convo us if you would like us to create a similar piece for you in a different size. If you order something that does not fit, we can resize it for you. You will be responsible for additional shipping charges incurred and there may be a nominal fee for additional materials used.

All of our items are handmade, often with unique elements, so an exact exchange may not be available. We will do all that we can to be sure you are happy!
