It's Not Just Stuff

Using vintage items helps us be mindful of where our culture has come from, and where it goes from here. There's something to be learned from dinnerware made for restaurant use at a time when ordinary men and women for the first time had access to dining outside their homes. There's something to admire in the MIJ imported lusterware that was sent home to sweethearts by servicemen and women taking R&R abroad. There is something to enjoy in prints handmade, numbered and signed by the artist. And there is certainly something to be grateful for in the bit of replacement china or the pretty little 'completer' piece a guest brings to the host of a holiday meal.

I like using things that have been used before, that are high quality and that avoid dangerous and inefficient use of resources in manufacturing today. Items that are prior-made allow us to avoid increasing our carbon footprint while still living well and artfully.

It's not just stuff - it's the stuff of our lives. Choose wisely.

Returns and exchanges
I don't accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
Returns and exchange details
I do not accept "regret" returns or returns on items used before returning. Please be sure to read descriptions carefully, to view photos, and to ask any questions before purchasing items - I am happy to answer questions.

I do not routinely accept cancellations - but please contact me if there is a serious problem or mistake. We all have them.

If an item is damaged in shipping - rare, considering my packing - I will refund as soon I am able to make a claim to the shipper with your assistance. Buyers will send photos of item and wrapping to facilitate shipping claims. I must receive notice of a problem within 24 hours of receipted delivery of the item.

Please ask any questions before buying - I want you to be as pleased with your purchase as I am with my sale.

Payment
I accept (and prefer) PayPal payments as well as Direct Checkout, and can arrange for money order payments for some items. Ask!

Once these items are purchased, there is no cancellation of the order - so please be sure to ask any questions before you make payment.

In the exceedingly rare case of an item lost or damaged in transit, I will need your cooperation to file a claim with USPS before refunding.
Shipping
I ship for the same shipping rate to all addresses nationwide in the United States.

I cannot ship on weekends and holidays, so please factor that into my ships-within-three-days shipping.

I do not typically ship internationally; I will ship to Canada upon request for actual cost of post.

Items are sent with tracking and insurance included in the price. In the exceedingly rare case of an item lost or damaged in transit, I will need your cooperation to file a claim with USPS before refunding.

Additional policies and FAQs
All my items are previously-owned, and I describe condition as completely as I can. I will combine items for savings on shipping when feasible - but please ask! Etsy calculations don't seem to suit this arrangement for me.

I do not refund or exchange for buyer regrets - and in the case of rare damage in shipping - twice, on Etsy since I began selling - I must hear from the buyer within 24 hours of receipted delivery.

These items are shipped from my non-smoking home; if I can detect smoke, I don't buy or sell it.
