Love the colors and pattern. Not too tight on my head.

Just wish that it was larger. Love the pattern inside the bag as well. Stitching is strong- versatile bag.

Giving as part of presents for farmers market themed gifts for son's teachers. Well made and large enough to keep greens safe when going to farmers market. Also nice to use in purse to keep things together.

About

Traveling Haulage Road

I began making tote bags from reclaimed materials in 2007 and utilized my craft as activism, an opportunity to educate others on all things political, beautiful, and life affirming while striving to radically minimize my eco-existence. Today, I pair that practicality with the nostalgia of my rural upbringing, a childhood that was equal parts grit and gravel, wild and free.

I live in Portage Park, a neighborhood on the northwest-side of Chicago, where Jimmyredhed and I work to transform our big, red urban farmhouse into a thoughtful community. A practicing vegetarian, I enjoy dabbling in urban homesteading, gathering garden harvest in my skirt, and napping in our sunroom with Killer Queen and Jubilee.

My tote bags and journals can be purchased locally in Chicago at Local Goods Chicago, Paperish Mess, Replica Chicago, and Sacred Art.

In addition to my handmade wares, I offer an "Apartment Dwellers" workshop series that guides urban residents toward simple living and self-sufficiency in Chicago.
