An eclectic workshop of paper and ink, Green Quince is your one-stop shop for all things stationery

If you've been searching for paper goods that will express your unique personality and delight the lucky recipients–you've come to the right place. Grab a cup of tea, make yourself comfy, and stay awhile!

There is nothing quite as personal as communicating with the tangible beauty of a thoughtfully-designed card or invitation. Your wedding deserves a fabulous introduction with an invitation that will get guests excited about attending. Your business will shine with business cards that highlight your unique combination of talents. Your thoughtful thank you notes will bring joy to the recipients. Custom paper from Green Quince will tell your story so you can connect with your friends and family in a meaningful way.

Bespoke design and letterpress printing are the specialties of the house. Do you have a seemingly impossible design challenge? I love solving design dilemmas with intelligent and beautiful designs. In addition to fully custom work, there are many off-the-shelf designs that can be personalized for you with your choice of fonts, colors, text, and add-ons. Whichever you choose, rest assured that your experience with Green Quince will be fun and stress-free with lots of personal attention.

You may be wondering about the name . . . what does “Green Quince” really mean? The “Green” part is a nod to eco-friendly roots. This business was started out of a love for fine stationery and a passion for the Earth. The preferred materials in the Green Quince studio are high in recycled content, but that’s just the beginning. Every business decision I make takes into account the impact on the Earth, from the location of the studio to the way I schedule print runs. This isn’t a passing fad; it’s a lifestyle. The “Quince”, (pron. \kwin(t)s\), which you can see in the logo, is an enduring symbol of love and marriage, and the beauty and color of the quince tree, blossom, and fruit are artistic inspirations. Together the practical and the beautiful, the logical and the artistic sides merge together in a happy partnership.

I look forward to working with you! Please contact me today to discuss how I can best help you with your custom paper needs.

My journey into the world of paper began in 2007 when I created the invitations for my own wedding. From there, I was hooked and began taking graphic design & letterpress courses to build up my skills. Good design and fantastic color are my passions.

Welcome to Green Quince, and thanks for stopping by! Everything you see here in my shop is handmade by me and most designs are totally customizable. I would love to work with you to create invitations for your wedding or other special event, personalized stationery, paper goods for your wedding reception, thank you cards, or anything else we can dream up. I know you have a choice when it comes to your stationery needs, and I appreciate your business.

Most of the materials I work with are recycled, and I favor papers and envelopes that are made of 100% post-consumer materials. Many of my packaging boxes and shipping papers are 100% recycled kraft paper, and I re-use shipping boxes whenever I can. I also believe that a business should give back to the community, so I donate a portion of my proceeds each year to a worthy non-profit.

Making a decision about your wedding invitations or other special papers can be difficult. I understand your concerns and know that you have choices. If you would like to have a telephone or in-person consultation prior to placing your order, I would be happy to arrange that. One of the things that sets my shop apart is the amount of individual attention I give to each of my clients. Whether that means hunting down the perfect envelope color or walking you through the process of selecting your text, I spend a lot of time making the process a positive and enjoyable one for you.

Returns and exchanges
I want you to be completely thrilled with your purchase, and I will work with you to resolve any problems. If anything is less than perfect, please let me know right away so I can make it right.

On customized items, there are no refunds due to the personalized nature of the product. However, I will always work with you to finalize the design to your satisfaction before I print.

Invitation payments are non-refundable once work has begun on your order. In the case of an event cancellation, a partial credit may be available, depending on the amount of work that has already been completed. Get in touch with me so we can discuss the best way to move forward.

When you approve your proof, I recommend having a 2nd or 3rd person read it over to be certain that everything is perfect. After you have approved the proof and I begin printing, I'm afraid I can not be responsible for any errors that are later discovered.
Please convo me if you would like to pay with a money order, and we can arrange that.

Unfortunately, I must charge sales tax on California orders (any order shipping to a California address), but if you live locally and wish to pick up your final order in person, you can forget about paying for shipping. Woo-hoo!
Samples are mailed via USPS First Class Mail. I'm currently using USPS Priority Mail for larger orders but can also ship with UPS or FedEx if you prefer. Just convo me to let me know, and I will provide you with a shipping quote.

Insurance is always purchased for orders valued over $100.

Expedited shipping is available, both domestically and internationally. If you are interested in expedited shipping, I will be happy to provide you with a quote.

International customers are warmly welcomed. I will accurately state the contents of the package on any customs forms, so there may be customs, duties, or other fees incurred on international shipments. These are solely the responsibility of the customer. Please check with your postal service for details about these fees. Please allow sufficient extra time for international shipping. It isn't unheard of for packages to take several weeks to clear customs in some countries.
Additional policies and FAQs
Processing Time:

The processing of your order is broken down into 2 parts: the customization phase and the production phase.

Production takes approximately 2 weeks for save the dates, 3 weeks for flat printed invitations, and 4 weeks for letterpress orders. Production begins once you approve your final proof and pay any remaining balance due. Please also allow additional time for the customization phase.

~~For existing invitations in my shop: the customization phase can be finished in as little as 5 business days or can take several weeks, depending on the rounds of changes that you request and how quickly you are able to respond back with your feedback. On my part, once I receive your wording, font choices, and color details, your first draft will be available for review within 72 hours (Mo-Fri). Any updates or changes will be completed within 48 hours (Mo-Fri).

~~For fully custom designs from scratch, the customization phase takes considerably longer. That is because I spend a great deal of time with my custom clients creating something totally unique and personal just for them. If you are interested in a custom design from scratch, please inquire early--at least 2 months before you plan to mail your invitations--so I can get you on my schedule.

In a hurry? Rush service is available at an additional cost. Please inquire for details.

Blog Features, Pinterest, etc.:
I <3 bloggers and pinners! Please feel free to share photos of my work on Pinterest or on blogs as long as you credit Green Quince and include a link back to my Etsy shop. If you blog about my work, please let me know, so I can link to your blog and share it with my fans (hopefully bringing you more traffic, too!). Thanks so much!

Swatches and Proofs:

I am happy to provide paper and envelope swatches at no additional cost when you purchase a sample or a full invitation suite. You have the option to approve your proofs digitally or by seeing an in-person hard copy proof. When your timeline allows, I always encourage seeing a proof in-person so that you can see the colors in printed form, as monitors can vary quite a lot.

Custom work:

Interested in something different than what you see in my shop? Please check out my blog post here:
for more information about custom designs created from scratch. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Extra Envelopes:

If you will be hand addressing your mailing envelopes, you'll want extras, just in case! I'll help out by including roughly 10% extra mailing envelopes with your order. If you will be hiring a calligrapher, please let me know, as they often require a certain percentage of extra envelopes.

International Orders:

Please allow additional time for international orders to arrive. Sometimes shipments can be held up in customs for several weeks, and this processing time is outside of my control. It's best to place your order 6 or more months before your wedding or other special event if you live outside the US. Expedited shipping options are available at an additional cost.

Budget Options:

If you are working with a limited budget, there are some ways you can save money on your invitations by doing some of the assembly yourself, or by hosting an assembly party (if you live in the Oakland/SF area). I'm happy to chat with you about the options, so drop me a line, let me know your budget, and I'll give you some ideas! I also do DIY consulting for the do-it-yourself couples who just need some supplies and helpful tips, so if you need help in this area, drop me a line!

Current Discounts:
*When purchasing 125 sets or more of invitations or save the dates, I offer a 10% discount.
*If you purchase both your save the dates and invitations from Green Quince, I offer a 10% discount off the price of the invitations and any reception paper items you purchase, including thank you cards.
*Similarly, if you purchase your invitations and reception paper items from me, I offer a discount of 10% off the reception paper items, including thank you cards.

The fine print: These discounts are subject to change, and percentage discounts can not be combined.
