5 out of 5 stars

I asked Ann to create this for me, after seeing a similar one that she had previously made. It is beautifully made, ingeniously designed, and is so lovely that I'm not entirely sure that I can give it to my mom...I want to keep it! Thanks again so much Ann!

About

My sewing/crafting story

I'm 74 years old, and I have been creating and sewing for 66 of those years. I have loved every minute of it! It all began with me on the floor beside my grandmother's treadle sewing machine using her fabric scraps to make doll clothes while she sewed my play clothes from her empty feed sacks. At 12 I began attending sewing classes at the local Singer Sewing Center. My mother had a "modern" electric Singer machine which I used to make my clothes all through High School and College. Then, in our first year of marriage, my husband gave me my own Singer sewing machine. Wow! Over the years through 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren I have made myriads of clothes, maternity clothes, children's clothes, costumes, prom dresses, even wedding dresses. I have made stuffed animals and dolls and their clothes. For our homes I have made curtains and drapes, bedspreads, decorative pillows, chair cushions, tablecloths, napkins, wall hangings and other household decorations. Most of the gifts I have given over the years have been handmade. Upon request, I began making things for friends and acquaintances. My selling career first began with making items to donate to church bazaars, booths and silent auctions. Later I began to rent my own space and booths in craft fairs and pop-up markets. In 2006 I discovered Etsy and opened a shop here. I've been selling on Etsy ever since and my world has opened up! In addition to most states of the United States, I have sold items in and shipped to 30 other countries in the world. I love it and hope to continue for many more years! I'm always looking for the newest look or trend and love to follow them. I take much pleasure in delivering a really good quality item to my buyers!

I am a seamstress/craftsperson! Always have been - always will be. Over the years I have been a stay-at-home mom, a member of the corporate world and a retiree. But through it all, I kept my sewing and crafts going. It's part of me. It's who I am.

Shipping
I use USPS to ship my items to you. My shipping prices are for First Class (which bumps up to Priority if your package weighs too much for First Class) or First Class International, which is the way I normally ship. If you prefer another way, just let me know, and I'll be glad to work with you on that.

The USPS has greatly increased their international rates (often twice as much as 2012) so regretfully, my shipping prices now reflect that increase.

I ship bought items either on the day they are bought or the next day my local P.O. is open. I love my items, and I want them to reach you safely and completely intact, so I wrap and package very carefully. I do quite often use recycled boxes if they're clean, so your item may come to you in a model train box, a puzzle box, etc.

I cannot be held responsible for packages lost or damaged by the mail after I have shipped them.

If you are an international buyer, please note:
1. On all international sales, I accept only PayPal or credit cards.
2. I am not responsible for any duties, tarifs, international taxes or customs fees you
might incur. They will be the sole responsibility of the buyer.
3. I cannot mark purchases as gifts to avoid customs fees, etc.
4. If shipping doesn't cost as much as I've figured to your country, I gladly refund the difference.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you feel your item is not as I presented it, or you're not satisfied for any reason, please contact me. I am always happy to make a refund or either work with my buyers to be sure they are happy.
