Gretel's Oven is a fairy tale bakery, run by the Gretel of Hansel and Gretel. Because her baking takes place in a land far away, she has asked Stephanie Young, a hobby baker, to do her Kansas City cooking for her.

Stephanie follows Gretel's recipes carefully and makes handmade, homemade, crafted pies and other tasty treats. Each baked good is a unique creation, though Stephanie matches the photos you see here as close as possible.

Because Gretel comes from a land of stories, each baked good comes with short tale that's related to the treat you bought! Pies also come with a little love baked inside, (a small dough heart hidden at the bottom of the crust) because every story deserves a happy ending.

The baked goods are crafted on an individual basis and specifically for you, so feel free to discuss any dietary needs, etc.

Gretel's Oven does not ship...yet! Local Kansas City, Missouri deliveries only.

All Thanksgiving pies must be ordered by NOVEMBER 19TH!
All Christmas pies (and some new recipes will be added or Christmas-uped) by DECEMBER 17TH!

Looking forward to making your holidays even sweeter!

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
Gretel's Oven's pies are quite tasty and the recipes have all been taste tested. We do our best, but are sorry to say that there are no refunds or exchanges. If the pie doesn't live up to fairy tale standards, please see Rumplestiltskin to discuss refunds.
Paypal accepted, as well as cash, money order or check in person.
At the moment, all sales are local to the Kansas City Metro area.
Currently Stephanie or Gretel is not shipping, but arrangements for holiday pie delivery or pick-up can be made by emailing thepiesthatbind [!at] or through etsy.
