Designing the dream

Hello! and welcome to my shop!

I'm Kim, I design stationery and paper products - in Sunny San Diego

I was born to be my own boss - as a kid I lived in imaginary worlds. I had a wonderful *real* life childhood, but I loved daydreaming and playing pretend. As an adult (I still do that!), I decided I needed the freedom to design my own days around my most favorite things. I was always "creative" - but not in a free, bohemian way - rather in a problem-solving/organized/needing-everything-to-be-beautiful way.

I went to school at San Diego State University and have my degree in Interior Design - really, the most perfect combination of creative and technical. But I didn't love the industry. I didn't belong. I realized as time went on, that I prefer to work with regular, every-day people - aunties and brides and friends!

It really started when I designed our wedding invitations in 2011. I was all in. I found the thing that I wanted to do all. day. long. I love fonts and typography. I love creating pretty, balanced layouts that tell a story and set a tone for an event. Most of all, I love that my husband was so supportive and told me to quit my day job and take the leap and finally start my Etsy shop.

And here I am. Living in a little studio with my sweet husband, sitting in front of my computer all day, working with people from around the world (!!!), drinking really yummy iced coffee, with sitcoms on in the background, and designing.

How long will it take to receive my files

2-4 business days | For standard custom invites items the first proof is sent 2-4 business days •• Final PDFs will be sent with the first proof •• if further changes are requested, new finals will be then sent within an additional 24 hours - so please look over proofs carefully and be specific with changes you would like to see

What if I want my order to be printed by the seller?

• purchase the design you would like (qty: 1)
• In the notes to seller at checkout (add your party details), tell me how many prints you would like
• Professional Printing! Save time and hassle and get beautiful prints ready to mail!
• Prints are an additional $1 each for any quantity in increments of 5 (includes envelopes!), add .15¢ for back*
• I email you a proof with a custom listing to purchase prints (with shipping options; between $6-$12, depends on quantity and zip)
• Printing takes 2-5 business days and shipping will depend on method you choose. Average time between purchasing the listing and receiving prints is 1-2weeks.

Print Prices are in addition to the design price?

Yes. I offer printing as an added service. Print prices are in addition to the design, my margin is low for printing, this way I don't lose money on small quantity print orders and don't have to charge $2 each and over-charge for large quantity orders

Can my order be rushed?

Yes, there is a $5 rush fee for the first proof to be sent within 24 hours (high resolution files are sent with the proof): here is an option to add a rush:

How long do you keep my files?

Files are kept 2 weeks from purchase date - after that the order is closed and changes are possible but not guaranteed - so it is important to request changes as soon a possible - but it doesn't hurt to ask!

Can I sell the items that I purchase?

All purchases are for personal use only. Anyone who purchases a listing has the right to print as many copies as desired, for their own personal use. Distributing and sharing are strictly prohibited. If you are interested in purchasing items for resale please message me prior to purchasing and we can work something out.
