About

Write more. On paper.

dc dweller. letterpress instructor. lawyer by training. printer by trade. coffee drinker. cat mom. dog mom. baby mom. foodie wife. type enthusiast.

dc dweller. I’ve been living in the dc area since 2002. in 2009 my husband and I rented a small, sunny house in Rosedale in Northeast DC and in 2011 we bought a house one block away. We love calling this neighborhood home.

letterpress instructor. I teach letterpress workshops and offer individual instruction at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Silver Spring.

lawyer by training. I went to law school. I graduated. I passed the bar. I don’t want to be a lawyer. I am thankful that my need for a creative outlet at that time led me to letterpress.

printer by trade. I use letterpress to combine thoughtfulness, etiquette, and gratitude with a sense of humor. My work, ranging from greeting cards and bookmarks to art prints and custom invitations, are letterpress printed with care on quality paper and inspired by old etiquette books, song lyrics, and life in DC.

coffee drinker. dc has lots of great coffee shops and I’ve spent a lot of time studying, catching up with friends, reading, and designing my work in them. my love of the coffee shop came first, but my love of coffee followed shortly.

cat mom. We have a grey kitty named Ann Taylor and an orange tabby named Pony. Both bring such joy to our home.

dog mom. Our dog, Tick, adds so much energy to our home. And so many grey hairs to my head.

baby mom. Baby Elsie joined our family in August 2011. As kids do, she changed my world. I love sharing every messy, crazy day with her.

foodie wife. He introduced me to film. I introduced him to coffee shops. We rediscovered books and music together. He cooks our family the best meals and we love hosting friends for dinner. We met at the zoo.

type enthusiast. my accountant took one look at my business expenses and said, “I think you have a font problem.”

What is a grey moggie? Grey Moggie is a reference to my cat, Ann Taylor. She is, in fact, a grey cat. She was not named after the clothing retailer; rather her namesake is Judge Taylor’s dog in To Kill a Mockingbird. Ann Taylor makes a couple-line appearance in Harper Lee’s book and is not seen in the film version.
