GriffinCat finds Vintage

We have been buying this old stuff for 30 plus years. This is a family business and tradition. Buying is fun, action packed, and full of excitement. The hard works come afterward. How can we possibly market and sell it all? Etsy has become a fun place to display and sell many of our treasures. You never know what might be next. We try to keep things fresh and add new items on a regular basis.

Welcome to our shop. We specialize in vintage clothing and jewelry. We like vintage items, and also the way business used to be done in the old days. We strive for customer satisfaction and will make things right if you are not happy. I can't promise you that we will greatly discount an item if there is a problem, but we will give you a complete refund should you be unsatisfied with your purchase and return to us as it was received with no alterations and within the time limits as stated in our refund policy.

We are only able to upload five photos of an item. If you are not sure of what you are buying, please ask questions and for a few more photos of the particulars of your questions. I would love to have 10-20 photos of some of our items, as many times, five does not show all of the details necessary.

***Reserves and Holds. This has gotten to be an area that has been abused too often for it to work for us any longer. In simple terms, it ties our merchandise up, and a small percentage of people actually follow through with their promises. ( I want to thank all of you who do keep your promises, but that is not the case with everyone) I absolutely hate the saying "If it was meant to be", but if it is meant to be, the item will still be here for you to purchase, when you can afford to do so.

***We no longer accept checks or money orders for the simple reason that many people do not follow through and actually send them. If you are in love with one of our items and do not use paypal or have a credit card, your best bet would be to purchase a visa or master card gift card at a convenience store and use it with direct checkout. Just be sure to buy a card that works with online sales. I am sorry it has come to this, but we have been held up way too many times waiting for money that does not come.
Shipping

***We ship via the US Postal service with delivery confirmation as well as signature confirmation on expensive items. The shipping cost we charge is all inclusive, and includes tracking and insurance for your purchase.

***Most items are sent via first class or priority mail with delivery confirmation, which is typically a 3 business day delivery time in the US. Larger items are sent parcel post which can be 5-10 business days for delivery in the US.

***If item arrives damaged please contact us immediately for instructions on how to handle the claim.

***When we ship your item, you will be sent an email to the email address you have associated with your etsy account. This email will give you your tracking number. You can also see this tracking number on the bottom of your Etsy receipt which is located under the "Your Account Tab" located at the top of the page. Simply click this tab and go to your purchases for this information.

***Buyer will be responsible for shipping costs a second time if they provide the wrong address at checkout, and the item is undelivered and returned to us.

***We must fill out all customs paperwork with actual purchase price and buyer will be responsible for any and all customs fees or duty in their country. Sorry, but as a legitimate business, we can not send your item as a "gift".

***This short list of countries are the only only ones offering us seller protection through Etsy's Direct Checkout, and the only items we are able to ship to. I am sorry, we do not make the rules, but just follow them.

Refunds and Exchanges
***Refunds will be given for any item that you are not satisfied with. Please contact us within 48 hours of receipt if you wish to return. Returns must be returned to us within 7 days of your receipt for full refund. Please use delivery confirmation and insurance for your protection when sending back to us. ******************************************************************************************************(Items not returned to us within the 7 day period as stated will be issued store credit for future purchase in our shop. Sorry, we can not refund these purchases in cash. Store credit will be for complete purchase price and will not expire).

***We will refund your purchase price in full for all returns as long as your return is initiated within the time limits stated above. Shipping is not refundable, and is the responsibility of the buyer.

**Items purchased on layaway or with any extended payment terms can be returned and credited with store credit for future purchase in our shop. Sorry, we can not refund these purchases in cash. Store credit will be for complete purchase price and will not expire.

As with all of our policies, we are pretty easy to get along with. If you need more time to get a friends opinion, an item appraised, etc. just keep us posted of your intentions, and in most cases, we can and will be willing to work with you. The last thing we want is to have you keep something you are not totally happy with.

** The only area we have very little flexibility on is negotiating a lower price once you receive. We have a pretty simple and fair policy for both buyer and seller "Either keep it for your purchase price, or return for a full refund". We are not interested in sending partial refunds. I don't want to sound difficult to deal with, because we are not, but there have been cases of buyers playing a hostage negotiation game. They want $5 or $10 and they will keep it. No thanks, just return for a full refund please. We would rather wait for someone that likes it more than you do!

All items are guaranteed as described and photographed. Please view all photos and be understanding that all items have been used in the past and may have had daily repairs necessary to make them wearable over the years. In most cases we are not capable of knowing if an item has been modified or repaired in its history. If you need better/more detailed pictures if something is in question, please ask.

***If you are not satisfied with any purchase, please see our return policy, and consider communicating with us in an effort to correct the problem, before leaving any bad feedback. There is really nothing that can not be solved with a little effort and willingess to try.
