Ooooooo! Ahhhhhhh! You read my mind with your simple, delightful style and the security of the leverbacks! And these ruby jade stones are just the shade of cool red with blue undertones that I've been searching for. I'm also loving the interest in the stones you've selected for your collection--the eye continues to explore them. Fascinating! Thank you!

Ceramic Artist Turned Jewelry Designer

After studying ceramics for years I decided that it just wasn't for me. The process was too long! So I picked up a beading magazine and followed instructions in the back for wire wrapping, looped links and how to use tools. And voila! Gritgoods Jewelry was born. Technically I am a self-taught jewelry artist but thanks to my background in art, making things with my hands came relatively easy.

I'll never forget the first cluster earrings I made. I gave them to my Mom as a gift and she told me "clusters are your thing!" At the time my answer was "it took so long to make!" but here I am years later, making clusters and they are "my thing." I have perfected my signature cluster so it hangs like a perfect cluster of grapes and I now offer 5 different styles of cluster designs.

My new love of yoga has me reading about the chakras and stone energies and can not wait to use this new knowledge in my own collections.

Originally from Charlotte, NC, this hippie chick loved on Asheville, NC for 13 years, earned a B.A. in Art from UNCA, and began a jewelry journey in 2006. Now in SC she plays multiple roles of SpEd teacher assistant, jewelry artist and blooming yogi.

This man has been by my side for 7 years, helped at EVERY festival and supports me in every way. By far the best helped I have listed ;)

Chloe came into Gritgoods in 2012. She was rescued and discarded and we then we got a text about her. She is a great dog and I don't know why anyone ever gave her up (or worse!).

Thank you for browsing through marGRIT GOODSon's shop!

I lived in and around the Asheville area for 13 years, including the 4 years spent receiving a BA in Art from UNCA and now reside in Greenville, SC. I am inspired by simplicity, natural materials, asymmetrical designs, the outdoors, and unlikely pairings. I pair natural materials like seeds and nuts with semi precious stones like amazonite and jade, and combine gunmetal with silver in some jewelry designs. My unique approach to assembling designs makes my jewelry unlike any other.

Gritgoods brings flare to the traditional, and good taste to the ordinary. Get some Grit in your Goods.

I do my best to be Earth friendly. I recycle my sterling, reuse packaging materials and buy many supplies, including my business cards, made of recycled materials. This also includes the gift boxes and the tissue paper used to ship your Goods - both made of 100% recycled materials.

I also do my best to buy local and from within the U.S. A lot of the natural materials I use are made in the Philippines, and I buy them from a source within the U.S. I shop on Etsy for materials, and locally from Chevron Trading Post, Cherry Tree Beads, and Beads and Beyond. Shopping at locally held bead shows also contributes to my bounty. My packaging materials, gift box materials, and jump rings are bought regionally - just next door to me in Tennessee. I'm always looking for more ways in my business to help my local economy, and reduce my carbon footprint.

I accept most forms of payment, and like most Etsy sellers, I will wait to ship the Goods when I receive the payment. If you pay by check, expect a delay in shipping for me to make sure the check clears.

I know the payment process on Etsy can be confusing. Make sure if you pay through paypal that the payment process is complete. If I do not have receipt of payment within 24 hours I will send a conversation message and request payment. If I have not heard from you within a further 48 hours I will return the Goods to my shop.

Any store SALE refunds are refunded through paypal after receipt of payment.
All Goods are shipped in gift boxes, with tissue paper, inside packaging boxes.

My shipping costs are based on the packaging costs and shipping costs. I often end up paying a little extra than my shipping costs.

I ship first class. Most of my customers receive their packages within 2-3 days, which allows my to get to the post office and the package to get to you.

If you would like shipping insurance or tracking of the package let me know in the notes to seller. Insurance will require additional payment before shipping of the Goods.

I offer shipping to all countries! I regularly ship to my sister in Switzerland with NO problems.

New - Goods bought between Friday and Sunday will be shipped on Mondays.
Refunds and Exchanges
If the item is lost or damaged I can NOT guarantee the same item to you. My supplies are limited and I run into problems trying to find the exact stones I used for a previous item. If you lose an earrings I will do my best to make you a match or a new pair of earrings. Please expect to pay for the new Goods and any shipping involved in the process.

Refunds will be rewarded on a case by case basis.
Additional policies and FAQs
I will gladly accept custom requests. Especially if you have sensitivity to metals, I have a variety of ear wires available, which I can swap with the ear wires currently used on ANY pair of earrings.

Gunmetal is a dark patina over base metal. Gunmetal does not contain nickel. It will not flake or rub off. If it gets wet, wipe it off, but don't wear any jewelry swimming or in the shower.

I'm willing to adjust the length of necklaces, as long as supplies are available. And lengthening of necklaces by more than 6 inches may have additional costs.

If you have a special request for specific colors, or a certain outfit for which you need jewelry to match, I would LOVE to design a piece JUST FOR YOU! I do this all the time for myself, often making earrings at the table just before work so they will match my outfit! Also look at my items that have sold for more ideas. I only relist certain items, so there are many different Goods to browse in my sold items:

All of my customers have been 100% happy, and many comment how fast they receive the item and how much prettier the Goods are in person than in picture.

Take care and enjoy looking and purchasing!
