Please do not buy and contact us if you are unsure about the item. If you have a deadline, please contact me for a shipping upgrade before buying the item.
Shipping times tend to be less than 1 week for Australia and international shipments tend to take 1-3 weeks depending on the location. Import duties, taxes, and customs charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
If the wrong shipping address is supplied by the buyer, and the buyer doesn't notify us before the shipment is dispatched, then the buyer will be responsible for the cost of shipping the item again after it returns back to me. If the package is not picked up at the post office and is returned to us, the buyer will be responsible for the cost of shipping the item a second time.
Refunds and Exchanges
Custom orders are non refundable. Custom products are any products that vary at all from a listing that indicates that the product is already made.
If I made an error in the crafting of the product, we will replace it as soon as we can. Please contact us if this occurs.
If you ordered a custom item and measured incorrectly and it just doesn't fit, no refunds or exchanges are possible. Please make sure to measure twice! Items lost or damaged during return shipment are the responsibility of the customer, unless you have purchased insurance on your shipment.
Please note that items cannot be returned or exchanged if they are damaged (water or mishandling being the two most common reasons for leather to be damaged). Please read the Leather FAQ to learn now to treat your item to best protect it, and how best to care for it regularly. All leather products require regular care, be they hats, jackets, shoes, or other.

1. How do I care for my new leather hat?
Leather is a natural skin and is not waterproof. All of our pieces are coated in a water-resistant oil and a top coat that will keep it safe from the occasional rain and drop here and there but please, do not immerse your leather in water for any length of time. The leather will absorb water, warp and the stain will wash away. Repeated exposure to water eventually rots leather and weakens it to the point it will snap with any pressure. If it does happen to get water on it, allow it to dry fully, don't wipe or rub it and don't expose it to extreme heat (direct sunlight or heater).
You will certainly want to condition your leather pieces over time, and you can find wonderful conditioning cremes to make your pieces supple and rejuvenate them. Also, it's a good idea to use spray-on waterproofing products (or something like mink oil) to make the hat waterproof and protect it from rainy weather conditions.
2. Will my hat look exactly like the one in the picture?
Pictures are very dependent upon the lighting conditions and backgrounds. As you know, every photo from every possible angle can be slightly different. What you see in the photo is what it looks like from the angle and in the lighting that we try to take most of our photos - being natural mid-day sun light. None of the pictures that we take are modified digitally (photoshopped) to enhance them - other than a crop (cutting out the background that is irrelevant to the picture) and possible contrast and brightness in the case that the lighting isn't optimal.
3.Will my custom hat look exactly the way that I imagine it?
Unless you have telepathic mind-reading powers and can see what we are imagining, then probably not. Please note that the more time we spend with you, the more the cost of the piece is likely to increase. We will send you the photo of the final custom made hat for approval before shipping it to you.
Please do keep in mind that there will always be some slight natural variations in leather products. Leather is a natural skin and thus can vary slightly from one piece to the next in texture and stain (colour) results.
