5 out of 5 starsBefore bringing this pitcher home I was perpetually followed around the house by "My Cup". A beautiful piece made by Guillermo's daughter Alana, that cup has been by my side for months. Now, father and daughter both pursue me as I operate the mechanisms of life. An excellent size for the bedside table or a dinner for two, the pitcher performs a simple function while adding an old-world beauty to every moment. Conversations are no longer interrupted by a run to the kitchen for a bit more water, nighttime thirst is easily slaked, while the warm amber glaze provides a comforting, earthy glow to the atmosphere. Guillermo's handles are of particular remarkability. Broad, strong, and well mounted while still graceful and pleasing to grip. This pitcher showcases his talent well, and I am delighted by each use.

5 out of 5 starsFor last week this magnificent bowl has been home to a delicious selection of crab apples, with both fruit and pottery serving as a reason to come enjoy the other. Mesmerizing ravines and gorgeous coloring make this bowl an excuse to serve something delicious. It even drives me to be a better cook, so that my food is worthy of such a lovely vessel! There's skill, care, and beauty in everything that Guillermo makes, and it inspires the same from those who involve his creations in their life.

5 out of 5 starsThis yunomi is quietly playful, endlessly friendly. The striping is subtle, reminiscent of snowdrifts late in the winter. I like how the glaze really helps to show off the cauldron shape of the cup. I'm quite a warm-weather creature, despise winter deeply. But, there are some days each winter I can't help but revel in how beautiful the world looks, temperature be damned. I've had more of those since moving to Minnesota, somehow. Getting lost in the speckled, snowy glaze puts me in that pleasant head-space, appreciating the world for what it is. I'm not sure that does the beauty of this yunomi any justice, but I am glad for it all the same. Another exceptional piece of pottery from a delightful craftsman.

5 out of 5 starsA secret place in the woods. Everything a deep, guarded green painted with silence. Ancient trees barely notice your presence. A small space between the trunks, golden light coming in. A moment spent with the sun against your cheek before the next step carries you on. Spending time with Guillermo's work often brings me somewhere else in the world. This yunomi has me thinking of wild forests and the precious majesty hidden within.
