I've been an artist most of my life, concentrating on detailed works such as pointillism and pen and ink, sometimes just pencil sketches with a watercolor wash or color crayons.
I have recently met an other artist involved in jewelry making which caught my interest.
We traded skills and taught each other what we've learned over the years.
We do work in collaboration at times, as we are friends.
Gypsy was my mother's nickname. Her first name was Monique, she was french Canadian. She was brutally murdered in 1976 leaving behind 3 orphaned girls, I was the youngest, not quite 3 years old yet!
I have tattooed her nickname to my back and have taken it along with me and my new hobby: jewelry making.
That is how I came up with Gypsy Jewelry.
