I was feeling super crafty today. So many ideas written down and now I’m bringing them to fruition
my busy empty nest
I always thought as I got older things would slow down but, that's just not the case. I'm busier now than ever and I wouldn't have it any other way!
I'm an empty nester having raised 2 amazing children. Now I reap the benefits to being a grand mom to 3 free spirited grand daughters.
Gypsy Roots Designs gives me the freedom to play with my creative side. I have a lot of fun hunting for vintage silver ware. I love that each piece has a history and a past life. I really enjoy the thought process of how I'm going to upcycle each piece into something new & beautiful. It really brings me so much joy seeing someone wear a piece of my art because there's so much of me that goes into each & every thing I make.
The name Gypsy Roots was derived from the results of my heritage DNA test results. I knew very little about my bloodlines so, my daughter bought me a DNA kit and I recently learned my ancestors were from Croatia & Romania hence the name Gypsy Roots Designs.

wear : If worn daily, the oils from your skin will help keep tarnishing at bay. If you notice some tarnish, gently rub with your fingers the oil will remove light tarnish & protect from tarnish moving forward.
polish :if you need to polish your item use a polish cloth or a small amount of silver polish.
All my creations are made from vintage silverware silver or silver plated unless otherwise noted. If you have a metal allergy I cannot guarantee you will not have a reaction bc vintage silver plate has numerous metal base combinations and i cannot verify each one.
All of my items are one of a kind hand made. If you want multiples I can made a similar piece with slight variations.
Custom and personalized orders
Unfortunately, I cannot stamp on both sides because there's often a slight distinct impression on the backside from the force of the stamping tools. As such I only stamp on one side.
All pieces are 100% made by me, no 2 items are identical. Some may not be perfectly aligned but, that adds to the charm & uniquness of each item. I use vintage flatwear That being said, I choose the nicest pieces avail.Because they're vintage and have had a past life they may have some loss of plate,dings & scratches. There will be slight variations and will have different degrees of patina for a truely vintage vibe.
Gifts: I can ship directly to the recipient and include a gift note. Leave request in note to seller during Etsy check out process

I do not accept cancellations unless done immediately after purchase was made. However, if there is any issue with your purchase please feel free to contact me to resolve any concern. If you have incorrect address on your order you will be responsible to pay for shipping so please verify your shipping info prior to ordering.
Care instructions
If you shower or swim with jewelry the lettering will fade. You can use either a black sharpie or Stamp enamel marker from your local hobby store to keep lettering fresh
