eclectic. vintage. treasured.

We grew up listening to tales of our existence, how we became members of our own family. Just because we were natural born children to my mother did not mean the three of us needed to arrive under usual circumstances. I was a gypsy, my brother an alien, and my sister appeared on a salad bar. These finely crafted, unusual tales evolved slightly over time, mixing with our emerging personalities, giving back-stories to each of our arrivals much more fanciful than the standard “when mommies and daddies love each other very much…” variations. The stories upset me terribly as a young girl, not wanting to be anything other than my mother’s daughter, but settled over time as part of our family history and personality. For when my mother was a child, I have no doubt she imagined even more creative, vivid, and unlikely possibilities as her own creation story. This imaginative soul of my mother’s has always inspired others to envision, dream, and wish for alternate creative paths.

Embracing the inner Gypsy my mother always knew me to be, I give you Gypsy Thread – a collection of creations, no two quite alike, compiled from years of wandering, searching , and forming stories of my own.

I've always been drawn to the texture and culture of life. Fabric is no exclusion. In fact, I find great comfort and satisfaction researching, learning about, feeling, and creating with interesting fabrics. Sewing well is the icing on the cake.

Additional policies and FAQs
Everything is created in a smoke and cat free home.
I do have a small dog who does NOT shed (love that about him!). He does not have any direct contact with the fabrics I sew.
Perfumes and heavy scents bother me, so they will not be present on your items either.

Due to different monitor and computer color settings, the colors you see might not exactly match the actual colors of the items in my shop. I do make every attempt to photograph in natural light for clarity.

I love custom orders! Simply let me know what you're looking for, and I will find a way to make it happen, either by my own hands or with the help of another trusted artisan. Collaborations between artists are wonderful.

If you are sending an item as a gift, please indicate this in the “Message to Seller” area of your order. Details, such as the delivery address and message for the complimentary gift card, should be clearly stated. For more information on gift shipments please send me a note with your questions or curiosities.

I appreciate the opportunity to share my work with you!
