Handmade at heart.
I started here on Etsy in 2006 making handmade greeting cards under the shop name ajkartistry. I quickly became overwhelmed, but due to the need to hold my full time day job, I realized my days were getting too long and I was stressing to get orders filled - my craft that I loved so much was becoming something I didn't like to do anymore, so I took a break and thought about things a bit. Painting has always been a passion of mine, and it made the most sense to me to make the switch from card shop to art shop.
I look at art as something I can do at my own pace; it's a way for me to relax, and be excited at the same time. I have loved drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, and I'm happy that I can share my work with others through my Etsy shop. Nothing makes me happier than selling a painting and seeing an "after" photo in someone's home.
