It is a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together

Welcome to HABITATION BOHEME. My passion for interior design and decorating goes way back. As soon as I had a place of my own I became obsessed with creating the perfect ‘nest’. I have spent several years working in retail sales, particularly in housewares, and studied Art and Interior design in college. I have learned how simple and affordable it can be to transform a room with a just a few fresh accessories, and pillows are the easiest way to add texture, color and pattern to an otherwise lifeless living space.

My style can be defined as a combination of Bohemian & Modern Eclectic. I find inspiration from many global cultures. I have always had a particular fascination with the culture and history of India and find such beauty in their use of color and traditional motifs. I'm also a lover of rustic modern design as well as vintage and things that are worn, chipped and faded. You will find a marriage of these loves epitomized in my designs. I enjoy using a variety of textiles from designer fabrics to repurposed vintage kimonos and sarees. I love to take something ragged, like an old burlap coffee sack, and turning it into something lovely and useful!

Over the last 4 years, my shop has evolved and I've loved every second of the process. I now have over 3000 sales and have pillows in homes all over the world and even on the sofas of some celebrities. My work has also been featured in several blogs including Apartment Therapy, Renest and LayBabyLay. You will also find my work in Better Homes & Gardens Magazine, The DIY Network and on the set of the hit show 'Fashion Star'.

I have only God to thank for blessing me with this opportunity to work from home and watch my family grow! I hope you enjoy my shop!
